Anyone feel like hunger/thirst have been out of whack since forever?

In 600h never died of starvation/dehydration tells much of how easy is to find food in the game. Even with that one patch where there was barely any food, but I guess most people didn't like that hardcore abundance.

 

As long as the apples are around you really have to mess up to starve.

I have never died of starvation or dehydration since 0.54 or 0.55. Loot is plentiful, and you can easily just live off the land for sustanance through fishing or horiticulture.

I would much rather have zombies be the biggest survival element over food. I want to run into massive roaming hordes with some of the zombies running faster than I can. When I see other survivors, I want to think great, maybe we can band together to just last a few more minutes more as a group. I really want a good use to have an m4, maybe just the weapon to help you survive that horde that's surrounding the house you got trapped in.

I moved to from console to PC just to play some form of dayz, I have every form of it from arma 2, arma 3 to breaking point and I'm so let down that pretty much none of them have zombies as even a mild threat, I'm a noob still trying to get the coordination down with a keyboard and haven't had a zombie death yet. Maybe it's just me but I hope that's the focus in this game, not just the odd zombie in this empty house robbing simulator.
