What bird is this?

Recommended Posts

That bird isn't in DayZ standalone. Try asking in the arma forums what that audio sample is trying to represent.

Oh, my mistake. Can you confirm which bird it is then? Also, for whatever reason, you assume that I don't 'get out of the towns' does this mean that the still unidentified bird only appears in fields and forests?

No I cannot identify the bird. My assumption is based on that you apparently never heard the bird while the sound loop is played I think at least every few minutes or so? I am sure I hear it in the fields and forests, I try to avoid town as much as I can and when I am there I am not paying attention to nature sounds, maybe you hear it in towns maybe not, I'm not sure but will pay attention next time.

Well, we're getting new sounds soon. That means we get a brand new looping bird sound and I, for one, cannot wait.

In all seriousness the audio showcase sounds pretty good.

But yeah, I have no idea what bird that is. If I never hear it again I won't miss it, though.

After listening through some bird sounds I am guessing it could be a falcon, but I may be completely wrong. Listen to clip below for comparison:
