Damaging Items On Purpose

Hi all, i may have missed in search but I'm wondering if there are any plans to be able to damage your gear yourself.

Like others, depending on the type of gear, i prefer to wear worn/damaged gear because it is not all shiny and i feel less exposed for KOS. I was hoping they will impliment a way for you to scuff up or muddy up your gear to make it less "NIB" looking. Maybe use a stone to smash your clothes or go to the edge of a pond to rub mud on it or something along those lines. Doesnt have to ruin your stuff either, since a little dirt or mud on your jacket doesnt mean it wont still be able to keep you warm lol

I'd like to be able to ruin items just for the sake of stopping others from using it. Like say I find a Truck Wheel in a shed, I wanna be able to just pop the thing with my knife and be done, not like I'm gonna be using it.

Very good point! Or take a tire iron and lay it accross the battery terminals.... although items despawn in 30 mins right so i guess itd only ruin something for 30 before it spawns new someplace else..

Ugh I always forget about that. I also just noticed backpacks only have an hour lifetime now :/

I mean, I don't see a problem with fucking an item or piece of clothing up just so you aren't complete bandit bait.

there's plenty of worn/damaged stuff already to use. as for ruining stuff for others, whats the point in that??

 

you dont wanna stand out to sniper? why does that ruin something for you?
