One big fundamental flaw of the game. Character reset on joining new server.

Recommended Posts

This just happened to me.. found heli crashes, was fully geared for the most part when I got "player xxx is losing connection"..

I waited the 90 seconds countdown, knowing that my player might not make it out alive since I was on the second floor of a police station.

I logged back in after about 1 minute.

Fresh spawn.

But see, to me its just time to start over again and no big deal.. I did however not play on that server any longer  B)

I don't get the OP - for every server we get wiped and start over?

I think OP is referring to when you join a random public server and they kill you / reset your char.  So you just lost your public hive character.  Normally this happens if you server-hop into a publicly listed server run by someone who likes to kill/reset you when you log in.

It has happened to me before - I log in, someone kills me and then I am instantly kicked.  But, you soon learn the servers to avoid by name and stick to the common public hives and it seems to no longer be an issue for me.

How on Earth does a server owner have the power to kill your character in the first place? Server hoppers deserve to die afaic but not in such a quick and painless way - make them suffer! LOL
