Tag & Release – Hardcore – Captured an armed player peacefully, but it turns out he has a friend [5:14]

Recommended Posts

Title: Tag & Release ep#21 – Hardcore – Capturing an armed player in Cherno, he’s not alone.

Video type: Hold up / Action / Fast paced / Social Interaction / Review

Video length:  5:14

Short synopsis: Attempted to capture some survivors on the coast in Cherno city. Failed to capture them and they got away. Continued to scout around to city and I finally found my target. Turns out he was not only armed, but that he also has friends.

Long synopsis: Tag & Release is a series based off from an outlaw perspective in DayZ SA. Since trust is difficult to come by nowadays, I’ve personally gotten tired in being back-stabbed. There really is no worse feeling, than the result in being killed by someone you trusted. Thus there comes the feeling in wanting to kill everyone you ever see once your re-spawn on the coast.

But I’ve chosen a slightly different path. Instead of being friendly and teaming up with others, I personally prefer to dis-arm players of weapons and ammo and always let them live, unless I need to defend myself or I feel my life is threatened.

It’s a difficult game-play style, but it does have its rewarding moments.

What a tool.

Good job.

With how the hold up mechanics have changed recently, I'll continue to change the tactics in terms of future hold ups.

Love your videos.  Eno, DaveB, and I tend to do similar stuff.  We always poke our nose in other peoples business and hold them up or offer supplies (if we see they are without a weapon in hand).  We tend to let more people go than kill them, but as you know, situations get out of control quickly.  I definitely like it more than just KOS or avoiding entirely.  The interaction keeps me wanting to do it more and more.  Watching your videos gets me giddy.

Agreed. Makes me realize we need to start handcuffing / tying up people more often instead of turning our backs.

The keep counting in direct chat is also an excellent idea... beans for that.
