stinkenheim 249 Posted July 26, 2015 Only one who can say which is best is you. I personally love the blaze but I know many people absolutely hate it. Personal preference at the end of the day, try them out and see which works best for you.
Exiled_Soul 25 Posted July 26, 2015 i enjoy the blaze too its the gun i used to get an aug. only 2 rounds so you have to make the shots count. i havent used the other 2 yet
Etherious 907 Posted July 26, 2015 Blaze with a Hunting Scope.
Grantlyk 2 Posted July 26, 2015 Winchester with hunter scope, I haven't used an SVD but i've heard they're beast
Reg Park 160 Posted July 26, 2015 they're all good to be honest, just the svd ammo is not as commonhunting scope has more precise zoom, so it's easier for longer range shots
Bravo228 6 Posted July 26, 2015 I really like the Winchester. The ammo is plentiful(for now), the hunting scope is awesome, and it sounds beast when fired.
Dagwood 680 Posted July 26, 2015 For elektro, svd is gonna be your best bet. Highest damage, largest ammo count, and the ability to suppress. If you were pvping in the west at the military bases, like a man, the blaze with hunting scope might serve you better because of the superior zoom. Also, the blaze and Winchester are much easier to get your hands on. You might as well get some use out of that svd while you have the chance.
wacktopia 57 Posted July 26, 2015 Winchester and scope.
atempleton 123 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) In Elektro, SVD hands down. Largest capacity and fastest firing rate, and quickest reload. The lower zoom and accuracy won't make any noticeable difference at the shorter ranges you'll be sniping at. The only downside is the rarity of the ammo and magazines, but if you got it then use it whilst you can. When in the northwest though, the Blaze I feel would win thanks to the increased accuracy and zoom, but only just. But personally I think for Sniping in Elektro, you should actually be using the Sporter with a scope and banana mag. It's much better for short to medium range sniping and suppressing than the SVD, and ammo is always a plenty with .22LR. Evil Minion 943 Posted July 27, 2015 If you have access to all three, magazines (for the SVD) and enough ammo the SVD is probably the best option as it outperforms the other two in combat. Now the hunting rifles fire the superior ammo in terms of utility (bigger stacks and more common), are much easier to find and use to their full potential and can mount the Hunting Scope for arguably better long range shots. Of the two the Winchester makes more use of the "needs no magazines" property and features a turn rate comparable to SMGs while the Blaze seems to be quieter and allows for followup shots. Whyherro123 2283 Posted July 27, 2015 With the proper tactics, and some knowledge/skill in skirmishing: Blaze, all day every day. Even without the scope. Gorgeous iron sights, powerful, flat-shooting round, rapid follow-up AND fast reloading. The Blaze has everything you need. Plus, it doesn't come "off target" when you prime the second round, so you can 1) see where the first round lands, and 2) make a deadly-accurate follow-up id necessary.
bain 23 Posted July 27, 2015 I'd be really tempted by the svd if I found one, but there's something to be said about both ammo availability and not needing to find and carry rare magazines. If rolling with a blaze means not spending hours running the same loot routes a hundred times, then blaze it up Mr. Winchester. That blaze though. Damn that thing shoots smooth. No-one knows where the damn you are :)
atempleton 123 Posted July 28, 2015 Sporter is just hilarious to fire, the lack of recoil and quiet pew pew firing noise makes it feel like a laser gun lol. Plus, it tends to knock out over kill, meaning hostage time.
Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted July 28, 2015 I rattled off a few 500-600 meter shots yesterday with Blaze + Hunting Scope. The Blaze is superior to the Winchester imo because you get two consecutive shots. If you don't panic and make them count, it's awesome. It's reload time for a mere 2 bullets is painful though... ... my sniping run ended after I got too comfortable and had fired too many shots from the same location. I was eventually snuck up on and killed, but my new favorite location is obscure and not where you normally expect snipers to be and has a great view range. Etherimp 1323 Posted July 28, 2015 SVD > Blaze > Winchester. <-- Facts.
atempleton 123 Posted July 28, 2015 I do prefer the Blaze myself over the Winchester, because the recoil on the Winchester is too great to correct your shots - you can't see the impact.

OldManRiver (DayZ) 42 Posted July 29, 2015 Before I got an SVD I would have voted Winchester. I haven't really used the blaze much. The Winchester with hunting scope zooms in further than the SVD with PSO scope, but the downside is that it seems to take more shots to down a geared player when using the Winchester. The upside of the SVD - besides power - is that it has a range finder and is semi-auto, so I can fire 2 shots rapidly, if needed. The downside - beside the PSO scope - is that ammo is sparse and the maneuverability seems a bit slower. With practice, the SVD is equitable to the Winchester. Doorways are the same size as a player, so you can use them to range find with your PSO scope. There are no batteries on stable, so the range finder has been useless. If you are good at estimating your ranges, then the Winchester is a good option. Ammo is also plentiful for the Winchester. Although, if you know where to look, the 7.62 ammo isn't difficult to find. I have found it in the barracks and in the small red and green houses with staircase on the side (on the stove or the floor). I actually got really lucky and found my SVD with a lucky log in on a public server. https://youtu.be/7x2pZTmfAIY
