Someone told me it meant "friendly" as in, waving a white flag.  I have not yet confirmed this.

i use it as good place to store a rag for bandaging without using a slot. good for emergencies. but yes it was to signify you was friendly. will be abused tho

i usually wore white as a neutral sign as in not a clan not a bandit not a hero just a survivor.
