Memory leak back?

Recommended Posts

Hey all wondering if anyone else is having major mem leak issues? I seem to get them fairly often where the game slows down to 1fps for a good 2 minutes and i can barely move or do anything. Then it goes away for maybe 15-20mins and then it happens again. Doesnt matter where i am in the game it just slows right down and my usage spikes like mad.

The only thing that seems to help is if i have chrome running in the backround while playing.

Was there a fix to this a while back or is this still a common issue?

Thanks all!

I haven't experienced this in .57 but I do remember a few updates back having a similar problem.

The solution was a launch parameter that limited ram, you were supposed to set it 1GB below the amount of ram in your pc.

Because I have 8GB ram I used -maxMem=7168 which is 7GB (8192-1024)

Unfortunately, I don't know if the parameter still applies in .57 because many of the launch parameters were disabled...

but it's worth a try- if it doesn't help just remove it...

I had same problem as in OP (in.57), a few times fps dropping to 4 fps, sometimes it would solve itself after a while, sometimes I had to relog. I also use the maxmem parameter and will lower it to try.

Didn't work for me. I still experience massive fps drops every once in a while.

Hello there

I dont know about the memory leak, but have you tried using the FLUSH command?

Worked great in Arma and it *might* still be in.

Press left shift and minus key on KEYPAD then type in flush (cant remember if you need to hit return)

You'll know if its worked.

Hello there

Use it to "flush" the system when you are havingfps drops etc.

Again, im unsure if its still in DAYZ, but its def still in A3. Worth a try.
