Are there any servers left for me?

I once played on a server called Shadow Of Chernarus Elite 2.0 (http://dayz.mbnq.pl/)

 

It was basically vanilla, with a few changes.. most of which increased the difficulty of survival.

 

It had roaming AI, deadly radiation blowing in the wind from Elektro (so strong zombies didn't even survive there,) no side chat (trackable radios were used by some instead,) and also poineered things like drinking from wells, blood types, shooting out of cars, wooden splints, and much more..

 

I can't find a server like this, when it got shut down, people offered to take over the payments to keep it online, but it didn't work out :(

 

 

Is there any dayz server left like this at all?

 

I want first person, no crosshair, and so hard that (most) people NEED to work together to survive.

I don't know if we are the right server you are looking for, but we listen to all our players ideas and I would love to hear some of them. We are a brand new community will lot's of room to grow, and we have a great start. Maybe you could check us out?

They are First Person, No Crosshair, No Side Chat, Plain Vanilla.

 

 

Sadly, most players don't want a hard survival experience any more, and first person servers have very few players.  ( I used to love DayZ 2017 for hardcore, wish that would come back ).

 

 

The recent Mod has increased Hunger and Thirst, so running, working, etc use food and water at a fast rate so you need to keep finding/hunting food and sourcing water.  It also has craftable wooden splints, drinking from wells (with tin can or even your hands), blood types with test kits and transfusion kits, stashes, base building, weapon attachments, are so much more, it has come a very long way and is better than ever.

Yeah, MBNQ was the guy behind Shadow Of Chernarus and I'm sure he put his server files online when SoC ended. Clever guy. If you have a dedi or money at least, it could be worth emailing him for permission to make a tribute server with his files.

All in all, there needs to be more challenging servers, or less easy ones. Another good one I know of is FinalDayZ. That's on Namalsk but has radiation and other interesting additions.

If you want hardcore survival then please have a look at FINALdayZ. We have a great active community with some of the hardiest players in DayZ. It isn't vanilla and it is Namalsk, but it does take inspiration from the hardcore nature of vanilla.

 

Presently I have another server in development which will prove to be the toughest server ever created (a confident statement I'm sure). It is based on Chernarus and will feature some very tricky elements designed to test even the best players. I aim to have it mostly completed within the next few weeks. I will update my advert when officially released.

I'm also looking for some nice "hardcore" server (actually I don't like this name, in my opinion all hardcore should be renamed "normal" and all "regular", "veteran" etc should be renamed "easy-arcade mode") and thanks to you I'm now playing on vanilla 3rd person:off server. I remember good days of 2012, when there were lots of nice servers. I hope this Dead Man Walking will be filled with more players soon.
