Karakoz 141 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) I found some good vehicles on a server, but the server disappeared in the afternoon. It came back online so I joined in, and there was this guy with me. The server resetted 6 or 7 times, and everytime I came back. He was online too, so I believe that this guy: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198066603541/ bought a server (DayZ (public/veteran) 128177 - hosted by Gameservers.com) just to organize his ridiculous own private hopping-dedicated server. I thought that I would talk to him, but what could I say? That I would report his server? Why would he care? I mean, if he bought a server just for that, he probably doesn't really care if the server is closed. What can we do? (btw if you want to get some good stuff, find a spot, join this server, it's actually restarting every 1 minute with the guy still on. I guess it's the 30th reset at least. He really wants his stuff). Edited June 12, 2015 by Karakoz

People can do some sleezy stuff on public servers, including server hopping, ghosting, and gearing up on their own server then heading to another to wreck everyone else with their god tier military loot. You'll meet cool people, have a better chance of maintaining your own camp, and generally have a better time. I can't remember the last time I seriously tried to loot up on a public hive. And honestly, anyone willing to shell out $50+ a month for their character to be fully looted deserves to do whatever they want. sneakydudes 278 Posted June 12, 2015 You report it, no need to bring it to this forum. We have been dealing with this since before 54 with issues of farming there own servers. You know what to do, and if not you report it tohttp://www.dayzoverlay.com/report/ No reason to get worked up about an alpha game. Nothing stays on your character long enough to care.Persons lost if found to violate the rules. Move on, most of us report problem servers so I suggest you do the same and put it behind you. boneboys 7988 Posted June 12, 2015 If the server is restarting every minute as you say I would say that the guy/admin is having trouble setting up his server and is in need of help, not reported for farming loot/breaking rules or whatever you have in mind.
