lt dan 7 Posted May 30, 2015 I heard that some settings set to very low or low can make FPS worse than if they were set to high. Has anyone found this to be the case? What settings should be set to high for FPS increase only?
boneboys 7988 Posted May 30, 2015 I believe that some settings will put the load on the CPU when the GPU could be doing the work. The best way is to experiment and find what is best for your PC build. Some discussion on this can be found here... http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?101040-ARMA-2-OA-Post-Process-Settings-Decoded&p=1660975&viewfull=1#post1660975
Rags! 1966 Posted May 30, 2015 There are none that I am aware of, though there are some setting that have a negligible impact on performance between their lowest and highest settings.
ColdAtrophy 1850 Posted May 30, 2015 Use Rivatuner OSD while you play to evaluate the impact each setting has on your machine at each level. That's what I did and I wound up going from all low settings to mostly highest settings without losing frames. I basically ended up having to leave objects on the lowest setting, but everything else is cranked up.
