thefriendlydutchman 160 Posted May 17, 2015 pretty much the title, allot of trash bags are laying around on those heaps in chernarus I would say that you can craft a backpack from those which will get ruined in 2 hits or one shot so very weak, only got 4x4 slots, can be reinforced with ductape which will make the backpack stronger, also the ability to paint ductape would be nice
8bit_Survivor 93 Posted May 17, 2015 Love this idea, I would gear up with this and call myself 8bit_Hobo!How about bandana + Ashwood stick? Maybe 2X2 but doesn't take up your backpack slot? You can put pumpkins on your Ashwood stick right!?
LoveAffair 329 Posted May 17, 2015 isant that the Burlap Sack + Rope ? But i do love the idea of another form of 12 slot backpack to tie up the DEV's seeing as i'm tripping over Drybags everywhere i go. If ya really wanna help have them add more spray paint colors to spray paint everything , including Drybags , Taking up time with a Heffty.
Red_Ensign 990 Posted May 18, 2015 I dunno why we can't craft a pack from one or two shirts. I can easily fashion a rough pack by tying a few knots in a long sleeved shirt.
surf_polar 110 Posted May 18, 2015 Loved how in Neoscavenger you could actually use the plastic bags scattered around in junk everywhere. Our modern society relies on plastic everywhere so much I am flabbergasted why this isn't in the game yet.Make them very very easy to break and you can only equip it in your hands. Make them spawn everywhere.

Draco122 412 Posted May 27, 2015 I really like the ideas of fashioning home-made backpacks from everyday materials. I once made a backpack myself using a pair of old jeans (although the jeans were ruined afterwards) and a T-Shirt, couldn't hold much but basic essentials but it worked. Trashbags could also be used as a form of an improvised rain jacket. You'd look stupid wearing one but at least you'll be dry
Bruderlos 17 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) Trashbags or carrying bags from stores would be a nice addition indeed.Find pristene ones in the stores or grab damaged, maybe even contaminated ones from dustbins. They shouldn't be hard to find just like irl.Combined with rope and/or tape you should be able to create a lot of things like:-improvised raincoat-improvised watercontainment-improvised backpack/courier bag-improvised tarp-???They should deteriorate rather quick but could be very usefull as a freshspawn. Parazight 1599 Posted July 13, 2015 Gross. Polyethelene isn't really durable enough for any of these things unless it's three mils or thicker. Garbage bags are typically 1.5 mils or so, and wear in little time. Also, there are many craftable options for backpacks, as-is. You shouldn't be able to make a backpack, imo, within 20 feet from anywhere (plastic). In a zombie apocalypse, with ruined towns all around you, I would be looking for anything not made out of plastic. It's a really poor material for anything other than what it was made for. Down with blown film extrusion.
