Does fish netting still only spawn on the coastal boats?

Yea Basically wanted to know if the new loot system changes the spawn of the fish netting, as Iv been playing a lot of .55 lately and I'm yet to find a single netting.

 

 

I'm yet to try looking in the boats and wanted to confirm that's where they still exclusively spawn before I risk the coast.

Been running along the coast checking boats. Found loot but no netting so far.

I'm guessing like most things it can spawn anywhere now. It'll probably get tied to boats or at least the coast eventually though. This is because the devs have said only guns are spawning area specific right now.

I found no netting at all since the patch. The boats spawn some loot, but for me it's been more or less just pills and that sorta stuff. They are picked clean in most places, too.

Found m4 three days back. Found mp5 and ak74 last night. Its easier with preset chopper crashes, police stations and wrecked jeeps. I got too many guns, but keeping hydrated is tedious. I haven't found a tent since they fixed persistence.

FYI, I found ammo at a chopper crash. 2 Double mags and 2 Cmag = 180 shots. I never ever found ammo for the M4 anywhere else. So I try to conserve the ammo, although I quite got a lot thanks to that chopper. But it was sheer luck. We really need to find that ammo elsewhere, too! I also never found a Mag for Ak 101, plenty for AKM and some for Ak74, though. And scopes, lots of scopes...

 

NETTING - where is it? Does it even spawn? Some things seem to refuse spawning at the moment. I have 16 burlap strips that just take up space in the inventory and nothing I can do with them, now. I wanna go full ghillie, now that I know persistence works on our server.

I found a stack of netting inside a house on a nonpersistent (*yawn*) private server - my guess is that it currently spawns everywhere but only at a very low rate.

 

Now on persistent servers I am usually happy* to find a flare or book (to make a fire) so I guess finding any netting probably requires to survive for a longer period of time.

 

*As in really happy. Rare loot is way more enjoyable than the old boring abundance.

Keep in mind that some PUBLIC servers have some buggy loot. Me and my brother spent 20+ hours searching nearly every inland towns for some specific items (Netting, Cooking pots, Gas canisters and Bear traps). We were playing on our server at the time and found 0 of each item. btw it is by vilayer

 

We swapped to someone else's public server and found all of the above within the hour including 10+ cooking pots/canisters, 7 netting total (in random houses), and 1 bear trap.

 

Our server didnt exactly seem like it had broken loot, it just had NONE of these specific items. Hope that helps

Thxs :) know now to get off the coast looking in boats and to head inland. Although I did get a great gun fight whilst I was looking.
