SammyTheGamer 25 Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) It's not an L85 and never was. It's alway been the SA-80 (SA-80A1 when it was first introduced to replace the L1A1 SLR) and then SA-80A2 which was an upgraded version to fix the jamming and magazine drop outs Edited April 26, 2015 by SammyTheGamer
Katana67 2907 Posted April 26, 2015 Who is to say those vest you find belonged to British troops. Like most things in game I simply assumed they were military surplus just like in Ukraine with ukranian soldiers with german camos and german vests and body armor yet there are zero german troops in the nation.Yes, that's what you assume. Just like he supposed that they were left behind by Britsh troops. Neither supposition is backed up by fact.

OrLoK 16185 Posted April 26, 2015 Also, don't forget the Aug was up for selection for the forces but we went with the sa80
Echo4890 11 Posted April 28, 2015 True. The SA80 was probably a worse choice at first, considering the A1 is considered Jamming Hell
Echo4890 11 Posted May 2, 2015 HK improved the A1 to the A2, different bolt, etc

Man...For the time being we are fortunate that the talk has turned away from new mil-spec weapons...in favor of game mechanics and core content. I am sure the Suggestions Thread will ramp up with all manner of requests for different military ordinance and variation but there are many who would rather NOT have such a vast array of firepower in-game for the 1.0 vanilla release.
