I play on a RP server and I was going to use a curtain name (Quentin Spurlock) for DayZ. Buut unfortunately that name was too large so now I must stick with "Quentin Spurlok"... :blush:

 

Does anyone think that the devs would ever raise the number of characters for the IG name?

I think names that contain numbers, start/end with xX, have insulting slur, or swears in them should be disabled as well.

so I went in the .cfg file and changed my name but when I went to the main menu it just cut out anything that went over the character limit.. can you explain to me what you did exactly?

On the main menu long names run off the screen. The full name is shown in-game.
