Questions before buying a server

Hello, I have a few questions before I purchase the server. I've not found a server that I like yet, and would be wanting to buy my own now.

 

1. Can i control the day/night cycles? I'm tired of playing 24/hr day. I'm assuming the way to do this would be to know exactly what time it gets dark. Does anyone know?

 

2. Can I control the weather? It literally never rains on some servers

1: "Can I control day/night" Yes. As far as I know. (Source: Lots of 24 hour day/night servers exist)

 

2: "Can I control weather" I don't think so. If the mission file for DayZ was customizable, yes, but as far as my infinite knowledge of ArmA goes, I doubt rain is toggleable without an outside modification adding new moderator controls.

1. Yes. With Fragnet it's a simple drop-down box. Stop the server, choose a start time, restart the server. Done.

2. No.

Not found one you liked? Why? If you want other people to play with as well I suggest you keep looking before running to buy your own server. Just sayin.

Yes, it gets dark around 16:45 game-time, so setting your start time anything beyond that will keep your server enveloped in darkness. We set our servers to start at 06:00 and 14:00, giving us one hour of darkness on both over a 4-hour cycle.
