I feel a rumble in my bowels

Hey everyone,

 

So I'm on an RP server and suddenly I get this message 'I feel a rumble in my bowels' and my sick bar is orange. I throw up and it all goes away. After about 30 secs it comes back. I eat and drink until im healing but the healing bar keeps going away after 3 seconds.

 

Anyone know what to do?

Damn so anti biotics charcoal tabs and vitamins havent worked?? Try staying in one place and drinking plenty of purified water and see if time allows you to beat the disease.

 

Interesting though please post your results i am yet to get sick (how did you by the way )

There's a few really good explanations on youtube of the health disease system. Not sure if they're completely up to date but explain how it works. If you're at full healthy, energized, hydrated it still takes quite awhile and lots of water and food to get through the infection you'd get from stitching yourself with a sewing kit.

Ah sounds like an infected wound to me then. Try injecting yourself with the medicine from the injector vials i believe(have heard) its a much higher grade anti biotic for infected wounds .. Let us know how that turns out if you can

If it is considered speculation it should be tested not considered false , that would decide if its false. Not a great source but that is exactly what the dayz wiki says those vials are for ( i dont know i have never had to or tested one) but seeing its seems semi legit ill trust it more than someone who says there a medic but hasnt tested something and calls it false....

Thanks, I'm looking for both. Have you ever seen the 'I feel a rumble in my bowels' message before though? I've looked all over google and haven't seen it...

I have had Cholera in game for for about 5 hours. I drank pond water because I was desperate regain vison (stupid me). It started off yellow sickness that I vomitted away. I was noticing my hydration was going down 2x as fast. About three hours later of full blood and healthy/healing/vitamins/chartabs status for about 75% of the three hours I started getting messages "I feel worn-out" "I am tired". I dropped down to thirsty and I got a brown sickness. I vomitted the brown sickness away and got energized/healthy. Now I get "I feel a rubmle in my bowels". I finally found antibiotics and have been taking them every 10 minutes or so for the past hour but I still my bowels are still rumbling and hydration is draining. I had a full syringe but there is no way to inject myself. So as of right now I have no idea how or how long to cure Cholera. I will be planning my trips accordingly for frequent well water visits.

 

EDIT: Character makes a hurt sound and screen flashes red when logging in. Full blood ENERGIZED and HEALTHY.

Infected doesn't get my the "my bowels" mesage, it "my wounds feel itchy" or something to that effect. If you were reasonably healthy to start with you can ride out the infection or food poisoning, this sounds like the new Cholera added from drinking dirty water. Just coming back from Mexico recently I know you drink the water and your bowels will start rumbling?

I entered red SICK and vomited it away. Either were close to possibly passing it or close to dying. It seems like my hydration is going like 3x as fast now instead of 2x. I went from High Hydrated to nor hydrated/thirsty about 3 times in 15-20 minutes.

I made the medical jump to infected wounds as he said he hasnt been drinking pond water and has been shot. Your correct in that the early stages of a wound infection would result in those symptoms but left un checked it will produce fever ( resulting in him being always thirsty as he has mentioned) and nausea & diarrhea.

 

But i am just taking a stab on what he has said and the answer could be in what he hasnt said (could be as simple as he has eaten something not properly cooked etc but i made the jump as the defining point he made was he had been SHOT)

I sadly haven't been able to find any alcohol to use on my wounds :/

I'm genuinely curious about how this disease/health system is going to pan out, I was so proud of myself going to ground with water and food and getting through my first infection without falling unconscious. I think the symptomatic diagnosis and prompt, proper treatment is going to get more important.

Have you been fighting with the infected ?

Did you hear a crunch at any point ?

I'm sure my last character broke something because I heard the "crunch", I was debating with myself whether to use a splint or not because there were no I feel a pain in my...messages.

I got jumped by a Z and knocked unconscious.

I regret not applying the splint !

 

Maybe we can catch diseases  :o from the infected, not that I've seen any information on that being implemented.

Pretty sure I am slowly losing blood since getting red SICK. Full hydrated/energized. Need to hydrate every 5mins. I have noticed when it says "I feel a rumble in my bowels" my hydration usually goes down a tier. Got the runs like no other!

I am not saying i am right either LOL doing the same thing on the little info we have plus basic field medical training. I am suggesting things as i want to know the results for future reference as i dont know how deep the medical system is now or will become in the future.

Well I got one shot by a zombie at full blood/pristine hard hat so my cholera journey ends here. I killed it too and that last desync hit after his body hit the ground =(
