player interaction 0.55

so. my last player interaction before 0.55 was a beastly firefight between me and another guy both with mosins, duking it out in a piano house. he'd killed a reasonably fresh spawn and went to hide in the top room, i sensed his presence by closed door and body downstairs and sidestepped as i opened it. the guy took shots as soon as he could, but ended up getting shot bang to rights with a nice peek.

 

 

since 0.55 i've come across four players

 

one was pretty much a new spawn, i told him about what i'd seen in 0.55. moments later he was begging me to save him from zombies. we shortly came across another player who wanted to KOS, so that ended in everyone dying. but it's a good start.

 

 

just now i drop in on two guys who'd spawned near turovo. they had no weapons to speak of and were more shocked to see a blackskull balaclava and RAK peeking through a bush than anything else. they didn't try to kill me. i'd usually have expected that to end in my having to kill them, just because of how fast we came upon eachother, but in this case i decided to give them an m65 jacket i had spare as we parted ways.

 

here's to hoping more people are willing to talk in the future.

I have a feeling the butthurt are angry and will attack everything on site.  KoS will still happen but those players will slowly migrate to a more PvP oriented game.

i dont understand the no more loot people. since patch i've found RAKs, MP5s, m65s of all colours, the firefighter uniform parts i'd never seen, paramedic stuff, orel and police gear. the patch basically made all the stuff you never saw really easy to come by, and that's great

It's because they can't scrounge up enough food within 2 minutes of spawning to get "healthy/hydrated" and a set of welfare gear and start duking it out in pink raincoats with brooms. I've seen so many sub 10 post posters going on withe the same sob show in the last couple days it's hilarious. I hope they go back to COD or BF or whatever repetitive kill, die.... game they slithered in from.

I had been pretty fairly geared, no guns or anything fancy, but I had a nice firefighter jacket, rags, a pickaxe, cargos, the basics. I was sneaking around, and this guy yells out to me, and he's being tailed by one of the zeds. I told him to dump the thing on me and get inside the building, and I took care of the thing for him. Of course that wasn't the end of it, another 2 showed up, he ran outside to help, started bleeding in the process, and I bandaged him up. Found out he's a pretty funny guy, I gave him a hatchet to fight with, a spare jacket, and we went on our way together for a bit, till we got split up at the nearest town.

Im looking forward to meeting newer spawns, i am geared up in a big way with mosin, long range scope , plus heaps more stuff all obtained since the new release.

You can't scrounge up shit anymore. It's all empty. For having good and well 600 hours into this game i know my way around. But there is actually nothing on the private servers im on. You have to move all the way north behind NWAF and those small towns up in the mountain. There still is nothing, but you may stumble upon lootbombs in the outside toilets. And those policecars with 10 mp5 mags and 100 handcuffs and so on. Else then that you won't find jack shit. Really, nothing.

dayz is a pvp oriented game, everyone in the game is looting trying to gather the resources and survive before someone else gets them. this thread is pretty stupid. i kill to gather resources just like i roam the map to gather resources. i can get more gear pvping in cherno in 20mins than i can running the map for 2 hours.

 

are people that cry about the zombies being too hard morons? yes.

 

are people that cry about kos bad at the game? yes.

 

my dayz my game play. you'll see me in cherno stealing your gear because i need your sweet meat to survive. get use to it. oh, and i like hearing you shout friendly right before you get the i am dead screen.

the update is garbage to an extent. persistence is still broken. which means no heli hunting, which i enjoy to do. should i remove dresses and books from the game and ruin your dayz experience? pretty sure you would be upset.

the only thing that kills me in this game are hackers or desyncing off a building.

 

EDIT: correction.... .55 patch.... eating raw human meat is another.

the best place iv found gear is:

 

tree stands/green guard towers

around vehicles(all kinds)

outside of the small jail buildings you cant enter

food houses(hicaps/mil gear)

iv found some small items in the normal houses and bars but it is few and far between, i agree that it is a struggle. find some friends that can help you when you run into towns that are BARE... i know how you feel.

Not anymore.. That is how it was 24 hours ago on private 50/50 servers. So guess you all are in for å nastier surprise then because it will be gone even there.. To where i don't know. Must be something really wrong with calculations.

 

Friends? Right now there is no chance of player interaction.. Going together means certain starvation death or gameplay concisting of picking berries or apples. Wich only seem to have like 5% successrate. Is it even viable? Don't the hunger drop just as fast? Felt like i sat in those bushes 50% of my gametime. Fun? Not really.. Actually would even prefer Spring 2014  NEAF M4 battles from hell. Something is really wrong and not working so i guess we can see a change. At the same time as the game should be challenging it should also be somewhat fun and social.
