Some quick V3S questions

Recommended Posts

I notice some trucks are like F1 cars, while others are tired and slow. Do they vary in condition?

If a server restarts when I'm in a truck, am I a dead man?

I've noticed a few trucks lying around with no tyres, that I can't get into (though I can open the doors). Have they somehow been shot up by their erstwhile inhabitants?

Thanks

I've noticed that the cargo V3S's seem a little faster when holding down shift than the regular V3S does.  May just be my imagination though.

When the server restarts when I'm in a truck I wait at least 5 minutes to log back in.  When I log back in I'm usually around where I first entered the truck.

I shoot the tires off of every truck I leave behind.  Never tried to get back into them so I wouldn't know about that.

Actually the cargo one is typically slower.  It also flips easier and unlike the non cargo one, when it's on its side that's that, the back prevents the wheels from gripping the ground like the normal one and ya can't re-right it.

If a truck isn't actually "destroyed" (catches on fire) you can drive it even missing wheels.  Or at least, the patch before last you could.  Haven't tested it this patch.

cargo trucks are slower to accelerate, and overall

if a server reboots with you in a truck, you will respawn at the last point at which you entered a truck. So consider where you are on foot prior to a server reboot, if you know it's coming.

a truck with no wheels has been shot up. If you hit the engine block directly with 10-30 rounds (havent tested it myself precisely) then the vehicle will catch fire and all tires will burn up. You won't be able to get into the vehicle.

Is the server restarts when your in a car your teleported back were you first came inside the truck or something like that.

I can confirm that shooting out tires now stops trucks.  Just tried to drive one missing a rear wheel and it was super slow/essentially useless.
