dont think anyone will notice unless they are russian

I have been ignoring and didn't care about it much until I realized that when someone makes a product they should pay attention to detail and produce a quality product, otherwise it's unprofessional, I think, to just say, "Ah, nobody will notice it, just leave it like that." These kinds of details can show how detail and quality oriented the makers are, I respect people who do a quality job and not like those cheap sloppy products made in china. If I was hiring a game developer, I wouldn't hire them if they have a problem like this, it's not like I'm OCD or annoyed about it, I really don't care, but I just wanted to share something wrong I've noticed, and if devs see it, they might fix it, if not, that's fine too. If I didn't, who would? If they fix this, I will be impressed and be confident about the devs for noticing it and I'd be happy to spend my money on a quality product. That's all :)

The sign has been there since the days of ArmA 2, so it has really nothing to do with the current developers as to why it is like that.

And paying attention to detail is important, but I don't think you can say that the devs are being unprofessional when they decide that redoing the model of a sign that most people cannot read because of one simple spelling mistake on it is unnecessary. DayZ isn't going to be some sloppy product because a random sign outside of one town is wrong... there are far larger issues to be tackled, even within the modeling department, to ensure we get a "quality product."

Hell, even the sign category itself has "bigger problems", like the stop signs in the area being in English (which is true for some parts of Eastern Europe, but inconsistent with the rest in this regard.) And that's still a complete non-issue to me and basically everyone else.

honestly they pay a lot of attention to detail look at the items and the the other things they have done to the map to say they are lazy or don't care is foolish. i'm sure they'll fix it it might be that its not priority right now they say they'll be re-doing a lot of the old towns so they might wait till then to re do it just give them time.

Guys, I'm not saying they are being unprofessional. My point is if someone ignores such details and sweeps it under the carpet would make them unproffesional. I just posted a possible error, but I'm responding to those who say "we can ignore it" or "not a big deal" or "nobody will see it" comments. I'm not saying this needs to be fixed right now. I know there are tons of important things to focus and fix. I'm just sharing a simple error I noticed that's all.

I've always seen it as the sign being decrepit and the offending letter being "backwards" on purpose as a result. Notice how the other letters after it are kind of beginning to fall off? I'm sure that's not the real reason, but it's how I've always justified it to myself.

Perhaps the people that constructed the sign weren't paying attention that day and the authorities never got around to changing it.

Perhaps someone made a mistake ordering the letters and they ended up with two E's and no money left in the budget to get a Э fabricated.
Perhaps some bored teenagers switched the E around during a night of drinking and light vandalism.

This kind of thing happens all the time IRL. It was obviously done on purpose to add immersion, aren't the devs great?  ;)
