riders jacket....why does it get ruined in one hit?

the topic title says it all everytime i get the jacket i get hit by one zed and its ruined including the things inside i don't get it a t-shirt can handle more hit than leather BS i say. i can wreck a motorcycle going 50 mph and not get road rash while wearing one of these but zed that have nothing but bare hands can destroy this jacket doesn't make sense. i know this is a pointless rant somewhat but i like to use it when i bandit plus you can kind of get your mad max on with it but now i don't bother because as soon as i put it on if a zed hits me i know its ruined instantly. i just hope they adjust it but its been in game for awhile and its been like that since it was put in game so i don't see it changing anytime soon

Is it only the rider's jacket? I've been hit by zombies lately and pretty much whatever they hit got ruined (except for the vests and backpack). Not sure about the rider's jacket, as I never wear it. The craftable leather jacket is pretty sturdy and stays pristine for a long time. The only problem is that it has the same water-resistance as a cotton shirt. I think all leather clothing should be waterproof or at least very much more resistant than a wool coat.

I was beasoned plenty by zeds yesterday and nothing was ruined. Idk what you are talking about, though I was wearing a UK Assault Vest... Srry bout dat jacket though.

I Love that jacket but you are right , one little tap and it falls apart. Also it's horrible in the rain too. I really don't understand that at all. I know they will put it on there POST IT notes to fix. When i first found it i thought it would be like pretty good armor but it's worse than a track suit jacket.

I've noticed the same, but with the M65 jacket and various pants, they get instantly ruined by zeds.

Riders jacket and bombers jacket have this problem for sure.  One zombie hit and ruined.

Happeenedd sooo many times get a pristine high cap vest one shot by zed ruined, I get a fancy tsko jacket one hit from zed ruined, I get a black bomber jacket to go with my full black uniform one hit bomber jacket ruined. It should be changed in the future (along with ruined rocks) but for now we should just have to get used to it.

yeah i agree it just sucks when you get your outfit together and your strutting through a town and bam instant bum status. hell atleast the bomber jacket is easy to find some what the comment on the m65 jacket that sucks those aren't easy to find sometimes. oh well never get attached to gear though sometimes its hard not to do.

It can be really frustrating too. I had all my firestarter stuff, knife and bandages in the pants and one hit ruined everything in there. Couldn't make fire, open cans or bandage myself. All from getting hit once...

 

Though I must say, I haven't checked if that still happens. Been getting my leather outfit together and haven't seen that many zeds.
