Firearm-Mounted Axe Heads

Recommended Posts

Seams like a uniquely 'Murican thing (at least recently) though I do know they had double weapons in Europe (Halberd Muskets come to mind).  Attaching a axe blade to an AR or shotgun barrel sounds like a good way to bend your barrel.

Even something like that is more Axe than gun with a nice solid stock to take the shock.  I would be curious to see a modern day take on the concept, and not just a hunk of sharpened steel attached to a rail.

EDIT

And to be honest, the only one that looks like it'd be worth half a damn from the pictures you shown is the 870 (I assume) with the solid stock.  The AR one is almost halfway in the middle of gun, would be awkward to hold normally (much less swing like an ax) and the barrel would probably get in the way or snag on something, not to mention the handguard looks like it might break.  The Glock looks like it wouldn't have enough weight to do any real damage, and the folding stock shotgun might not give enough leverage either.

Does this honestly seem like it would fit into the theme of dayz, let alone how many people even know if those actually exist. And if they do exist, out of 1000 people, how many would say they've seen this said attachment.
