zergwes 0 Posted February 2, 2015 I have 307 hours on this game. I now cannot start up the game. I keep getting the message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." It is comming from this file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DayZ\DayZ.exe Also the Battle Eye box pops up afterwards and says the game failed to load. any help would be appreciated. This should fix this issue, be sure to verify your files and then launch with steam running as administrator as this is usually because of a dll file missing or corrupted Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
zergwes 0 Posted February 3, 2015 so i couldnt get on the dayz forums/website at all today. But yes, i did get this resolved by myself by running as administrator.
