Hmm...I don't really think it has anything to do necessarily with your specs. I'm positive you have a better gaming computer than I do (400$ HP desktop with an upgraded GFX card.)

However, I do experience this occasional freezing now and then. I think it may have more to do with internet connection?????

What's your up and down speed?

Well I'm a 15 and 2, rougly. I usually experience that freezing every 15 - 20 minutes or so. Usually the people i'm playing experience it as well, so I'm not even sure it is a problem with the users.

Could be server related. Do you play on the same private hive or public server frequently?

I play mostly on Public servers, i change a lot to different servers and on so forth. I still have some doubts about the ingame settings and document settings i have to use tho.

The game is also heavily unoptimized at the moment, and according to the Devs there's not really anything lasting they can do to till the beta phase to improve performance.

I highly doubt that with those specs you have an SSD. Do you appear to have a normal Hard Drive with all your Data on as well as OS / games, etc?

But atleast with my specs, i would like to know a recommendable setting to have good fps and have good quality atleast a little. I really have doubts and sorts.

You don't have enough memory. You need 16GB to be lag free. 8GB is doable but some of the memory will be paging. Had 8gb memory with fresh install of windows 8 and with paging turned off it asks me everytime to close down programs because not enough of memory. Task manager shows i had free ram but those were cached.

Sorry but your spec can run this game on low/very low. Game is very cpu heavy and your gpu is also not all the best.

I also thought about upgrading my cpu to an FX6300, but my motherboard only supports FM2+. So if i ever get to buy a CPU compatible with my motherboard, it must be an Athlon x4 860k. I really need to get a motherboard. And RAM.

I don't know why you are making a new thread. As i said you don't have enough memory. When I load dayz my commited memory goes up to 7.9 GB.

Most likely you are freezing because theres not enough memory left so it tries to swap the memoy to the HDD.

Upgrading the cpu to FX6300 or 860K won't give you any performance increase at all because this game will not benefit multiple cores at all.

If you had a shtity gpu the game would just lag and not freeze.

So upgrade to 8GB or higher.

I run DayZ with 4GB RAM and I don't have freezing issues. Besides, the OP states that he used to play with no problems.

Gurrish, have you changed anything? Are you playing on the same server as you did when it worked?
