they already have spawns a bit inland but inside a house would be a bit much. Although it would be kinda cool it does break lore as McWendy said.

Waking up from a bed in one of the houses would be a good idea. I still like the idea of spawning on the beach with nothing as that suits the back story somewhat, but on the flip side I'm sure it's better for the game to have people spread all about the map rather than all just clumped on the coast.

What official lore is saying that we all just washed up on shore? Pretty sure this is about player generated stuff, no official lore, it's mostly made up by the players, so hell, if I wanna say I woke up from a damned coma inside my living room and somehow survived all the zombies, I'll do it.
