Getting Geared Fast

Recommended Posts

So as much as I don't want to give this away as I love this loot run here we go.

First things first, get a spawn in Cherno if your a freshie.

Now once your in Cherno you want to run directly north to dubky, ( if your not a freshie just get to dubky) ( and don't get dubky mixed up with novo)

Now dubky has to supermarkets and 2 military trucks which I have found military vests, ballistic helms, TTsKo gear and the whole shabang, one behind a supermarket and the other on the far east side of dubky.

Dubky also has about 21 cars, MAIN PART, cars have a huge chance to spawn guns, I found 2 mosins yesterday & 2 sks, plus other guns like spotter and cr and 4 shotguns.

Now dubky also has a school and a tech building on the Eastern side sorta in the middle, they're right next to each other so GG. That tech building almost always has a gun or attachment.

Be sure to check all of the cars in dubky

(You can use dayzdb.com to find where it is)

Now from dubky you want to go to the supermarkets and head west towards novo

(The big apartments west of dubky) which has a supermarket also and a few cars. Now you want to follow the road touching novo on it's north side.

Keep going straight on this road and you should end up in Balota, free to loot there...

Next from Balota get on the main road towards the coast, from there you want to head to kamarova.

You want to take the first right in kamarova then follow it and take the first left. this will lead you to the military base below Pavlovo. loot all of it it has school and hostpital and 4 barracks. 2 inside main part and 1 on road leaving in, and another you take a short road inside the base to a complex which is really apart of the base.

Ok go the way you came in and turn left till you get to Pavlovo. Once you get to Pavlovo you want to take the road that leads north to zelengorsk.

Once you reach zelengorsk their will be 2 baracks and a prison right where you enter on the left.

from the road you entered zelengorsk I'm you want to follow it till it gets to a 3 way. (At the end of city kinda) turn left then take your first right. Follow this main road till you get to sosnovka.

Once at sosnovka you take the first and only left and it will take you to the group of military tents.

GG fully geared if your on a good server :D you can head to northwest from there or whatever, I'm usually fully geared by the time at Pavlovo but whatever.

LESS DETAILED HERE

Town to town:

Cherno->

Dubky ->

Novo->

Balota->

Pavlovo base->

Pavlovo->

Zelengorsk->

Sosnovka->

Tents :D

Sorry if it's sloppy but ehh There you go. Please no arguments saying "no this run is better or that run sucks" I just wanted to help some that need it. Thanks

& for all who say it's looted your on the wrong server at the wrong time, bcuz I found 4 mosins 2 days ago.. Just in dubky...

Aren't those all places everyone goes though? On a persistent server, that's probably gonna be looted to all hell. On a non-persistent this works well, however, if you want mil gear. You're still most likely going to run into lots of people with twitchy trigger fingers at pavlovo, balota, and tents. (sometimes even zelenogorsk.) Cherno is much less of a deathtrap than it used to be, but I'd still suggest getting through that lootless hell on earth ASAP.

I have only died in dubky and zelengorsk, have yet to see another player any other place doing this run.

And isn't everything looted to hell on persistent.

Hi,

I have been using this quantum teleporter since the release of the game, may I ask you why have you told him about this place? Now everybody will use it.

It was time to share our secret with the world.

Did the man who invented the wheel horde it so himself? When penicillin was discovered, was it kept from the sick and dying? We must use our discovery to advance humanity and save it from its death throes in this dark and vile age filled with evil and desolation.

It takes a brave man to share fire with the rest of the world, because when you share the gift of fire with your fellow man, soon that fire spreads. Before long the dark corners that so frightened our primitive minds cease to be so dark, and all shadows transform from horrendous shades and dark terrors into soft ambiance.

With this gift of the NWAF teleporter, we shall give humanity the keys to it's own survival, and bring it out of this pit that is the forsaken land of Chernaurus. We shall remember that once we cowered in the dark, afraid and cold, until that one day...when a silhouetted figure reached out and firmly grasped the arm of humanity, and firmly placed the torch in his hand.

We will not go quietly into the night.

God i'm so bored lol

Quite a trip/tip you have there:)

I run to Dubky whenever i spawn not far from it and get geared up pretty fast.

Takes me about 15 minutes from spawn location to have melee/ranged weapon,

food/water/ammo. I'm all for instant fighting, so i don't run the rest of the route.

That said, it's a fast and efficient route to take.

Well, kind of. You still need to work for it if you want to get some gear/ammo,

while avoiding potential death traps on the road.

I was making a point in "cheeky" fashion there, man.

If you want instant gratification death match, a lot of other "games that have guns" have less bugs/hackers, instant gear, and stiffer competition.

I have a feeling that "getting geared fast" isn't anywhere on development roadmap currently.

Let him play the game the way he wants man. This CoD police is so annoying. I believe the devs doesnt really care if you want to gear up fast and PvP, because this only adds to the game (banditry for example).

Just like KoS.

Thanks for the well made tutorial of your route OP, very usefull for those who are new in the game! Aways good to have such things.

He is well entitled to play anyway he wants, I was making a point about the core concepts of DayZ.

Vanilla DayZ will never be about gearing up fast or myself and A LOT of long time players will lose interest fast.

Maybe some of the private shard and modding shenanigans will have that shit in the distant future.

Rampant instant PvP adds little to a survival horror game.

Banditry, actually robbing people, does.

Right now the current state of the Alpha is being treated like the mod to a degree and makes PvP the most interesting thing for most players.

CoD policing has a purpose, so that when the game starts tilting towards basic survival, we can say I told you so....

I, for one, am not too worried about it.  H1Z1 will be out soon and some or most of the instant gratification types will vote with their feet and move there.  I say, don't let the door hit them in the ass.   Besides, peeps are already gripping about the loot system on the persistent servers, I love it and dig it and want more of it.  Get your asses off the coast or live on berries and apples, it's that frigging simple.

Slightly off topic and not directed at BioHaze.  Sniping at and killing a terrorist at 800 meters in real life is a real accomplishment, sniping and killing a fresh spawn on the coast in DayZ isn't.  Besides, more than likely, you are actually doing them a favor and getting them a better spawn point than you had.  Fuck that, let 'em suffer

You are so wrong in this man... KoS is the only really scarry thing in this game, if not DayZ would be Minecraft. They can add as much zombies as they want, it will only be scarry for noobs because AI is essentialy predictable, and everyone and they grandmother knows that what makes this game fun and what adds tension are the PvP elements. Thanks god there are many KoS fags out there, otherwise people would just run like there is no tomorrow in the middle of the cities, there would be no need in steath and so on (again, zeds will not do any miracle towards making people go cautiously because they are predictable and dumb, and zeds are a very limited and easy do deal with kind of AI opponent).

I'm not saying "Hey, dayz is about gearing up fast and PVP", but people might wanna do that and I see no problems, or the need to tell them to play another game because they don't play the way you think is the right way to play. The core concept of the game is survival, dude managed to gear up (survive) fast and now he wants to kill people, what is wrong in this? How does this goes against the game concept? They will make surviving harder? Thanks god for that but it will not stop experient players from gearing up fast and PvP because the most important thing to survuve is to know the map, its the crucial survival element. If you know the map and where to go, your surviving chances increase dramatically so, I don't even understand why you are CoD policing him, makes no sense to me.

You should do that on who uses that oustide of the game map faggotry. Seriously, who uses that deserves 0 respect, its pure cheating.

We can agree to disagree here but I don't think you played the mod....

If you add enough zombies with polished AI and pathfinding you will find that survival as a new spawn will require hours of stealth and careful looting and any person who thinks they can fight their way alone through a horde of zombies without automatic weapons or a lot of backup is going to be sorely disappointed. Now add a chance for all sorts of infection, bone breaking, and disease from zombie contact and you'll start to get an idea of what the future holds.

Shit, we don't even need to purify water yet....!

Exactly. The game is literally only about 1/3-12 (and 1/2 is pushing it) done, and most of the actual game mechanics are little-more-than bare bones.

Survival (exposure, keeping warm, hydrating, boiling water, etc)? Not even close to being implemented, much less finished, and they keep changing environmental conditions every so often to test it out.

Cooking? Besides cooking meat, which is very basic, not even close to being finished

Diseases? Not even implemented

Infected? Not even close to being finished.

Farming? Barely even implemented, with A LOT of work still needed

Foraging? Not even implemented.

Medical systems? Barely implemented

Right now, PvP, that is, gunplay, is the closest thing to actually being implemented ("good" is another story, because the gunplay (mechanics, characteristics, etc) of Day Z really suck), so therefore it is pretty much the only thing to do. Yet, with the recent additions of bare-bones farming and trapping, I've seen plenty of people on the forums switching to that instead.

Give players something else to do, other than circle-jerking with assault rifles, and they will do it.

Shoots, I didn't play the mod too much but yeah, it crawled with zeds.  Finding stuff wasn't nearly as easy.  On the mod spawning into a place that has 8-10 zeds versus the 1 or maybe 2 that we get in the SA in the same place is/was not unusual.  And scary too.  Most of the buildings we can go into now are not accessible in the mod either though.

The mod had way more hardcore zeds, you had to find a axe or you were doomed. In SA you can fist them to death easily (my record was me vs 4, without taking one single hit) and more ahead in development, we will be abble to reliably lock them inside places. Also they are no longer Usain Bolt nor a bugged pile of shit, you can now even dodge their attacks! They are more fair then in the mod, thus easier.

The mod was really REALLY harder then SA and not because there were more zombies, but because they were essentialy harder even on 1x1 situations. And even so, people runned like no tomorrow in the middle of elektro, with 10+ zeds on their asses with zero problems unless there were a player arround. I belive that stamina system will be better to stop people gearing up fast then zombies.

Zombies by themselfs are easy imo.

Meh I think it looks fun. I'll be playing both when H1Z1 is available. Playing DayZ doesn't make me superior in any way to anyone else.
