2 Computers, Same Network, Different Steam Account, Disconnects Both Computers

Recommended Posts

So, I bought Dayz Standalone yesterday and I bought it so I could play with friends that came over to my house. But suddenly after I bought it and played, it caused my friend and me to disconnect. I don't know what's wrong with it but if anyone has any solutions it would be greatly appreciated. We both have different computers that we play on and we bought DayZ Standalone on two different steam accounts, the only thing that isn't different is that we are on the same network. Please help, Thank you very much!

Do you have any solutions to fix this problem? What router do you use and can you recommend me a different router if so?

There is a solution most likely on these Forums.

It may be that you have the same ip or possible a game port problem.

I've asked the Mods to dig up a basic guide but in the meantime...

its an issue with NAT translation on your router

change one of the clients to use a different port by using -port parameter on advanced statup

make sure the following is open

port   UDP (used for game)
port+1 UDP (used for server reporting)

port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)

i suggest using -port=25007

and then open up

25007

25008

25010
