I like the new HUD, i think it adapts my needs really good, but i would also like to sugest one thing, and sorry if this has been said already, if you guys do go in with this new HUD i sugest the following: -I think it should be optional, people who dont want to use it for a more hardcore experience should be able to "disable" the hud. -Also it would be great i the hud was maybe personalizable, like adjusting the size of icons, the opacity, and also giving the option for people to choose where they prefer to see the different parts of the HUD ( exemple changing the stamina bar, from place with the remaining icons, maybe even be able to drag them around the screen and put every icon where it suits people the best) Still a great Hud, and for me it sure beats having to TAB to read my status or getting the spam messages.

No idea lol, i think this has been one of the best patches since release.

I understand your point, but, i dont think dayz can be the game you want, nor should it be, plus your kinda overreacting with the 20m thing, 20m in this game is enough to find a piece of cloth at best, or maybe run till the next town :P, I think its way to early to be deffining the difficulty of the game, and i think there needs to be a balance, i agree that to get the best transports, best weapons, best camo gear etc in this game should give you a grueling experience, and make it really tough, otherwise offcourse theres no sense of achievment when you get things done, but at the same time, theres has to be something in for people with less time, other than running around and finding food, and I think the only aswer for this is more and more new content, like, the whole farming system in game, its already a great initiative to give people with nothing a initial aim, or the whole "craft your own gear with trees and rags" its also a great idea, what the game still needs, its more "early" content, that its easy for everyone to obtain ( such has the whole farming system, fishing, crafting etc) but at the same time also needs more hardcore stuff that people with everything aim to do other than shooting other people in the head, this way everyone will be happy. What they cant absolutly do is make the game feel like this is a hide and seek / running simulator.

I play this game 3-4 times every month, mostly when updates are released, i just like to go on and check up on the progress and this is the experience I had with this update: I started the game after patch, my character got wiped, but it was okai, i picked myself up, went to a medium server with 15 people or around that, started near one of the sunken ships and went around to a close by town ,dressing up some random cloths with some pockets for items, find a pet bottle, fill it with water, gear up with a pick axe and head to the center of the mainland, had the luck to find 2 small cans of tuna, also noticed that sometimes when drinking water the hunger went away, took me a while to start finding some real gear, but i eventually found an unlooted town, found 3-4 cans, some peaches, tactical bacons, found 2-3 juice cans that i drank immediatly, and a couple water purifying tablets and antibiotics, was hard organizing the space because the only thing i couldnt find was a bag. With nothing to lose, i kept exploring all the towns i was passing by, was finding alot of hats and cloths, even found a chainsaw but it wasnt working, i guess lack of gas or bug i duno ( found it in a car junkyard), eventually i kept picking a little bit of food here and there, surprisingly, i havent found a single piece of fruit or vegetable, i guess its normal after patch, but am not really having any troubles with canned food and rice bags, Right now i am still alive, found a gun but cant seem to find any bullets for a .308 , and this, for me, its one of the best updates since the release of the game!

I like the fact theres something that can kill you other than players, but i cant wait for they to improve the zombies in every aspect.

I can go days without pooping XD metabolism change different from person to person, some must do it 3 times a day, others 2, others none, it would be interesting to see how they would use this mechanic, but i think there is just alot more important features to be added or fixed within the game alredy before they even think of pooping within game.

I would say 2 things in the game annoy me atm, The zombies - While improved since the past, killing you trough walls, passing fences or doors still happens, reaching you on the 2 floor while being on the 1 floor, and running endlessly after you giving, you either the choice of running for hours or killing them. The loot distribution and the aspect of houses - Everyone alredy knows wich house normally spawn better and worse loot wich is kinda bad, i think it should be more random with all houses having a chance of providing same loot, also the aspect of the houses inside is way to plain for a world that just ended, theres not enough destruction or gore on the scenary, wich i also understand is not to stress the servers, but i sure hope they , give it a makeover.

Must be your router, i have your situation, 2 pcs, side by side, same net, different steam accounts, and me and my brother never had a problem. ( Also test diferent servers )

I apologise also for being to hotheaded, i been kind against private servers, because me and my friends are pretty casual on dayz, we like to enjoy the exploration and gearing but do it at our own pace, i am afraid of the private servers, always afraid of abuse in admins side, or having to be on a server where you will keep finding a whole clan hunting other peeps, but like you said, we been having our share of problems with hackers on publics servers, what exactly is the persistance thing?

Me and my friends dont own a server, we always play in public, we also avoid private Hives, but most of the servers i been finding are either way to full, or way to buggy, we have all been away from Dayz for months, and only came back last weekend so we are kinda out of all the new changes, but all we been finding its either servers with nearly 0 loot ( sometimes even after the server just crashed, there is still no loot after) so we have kind been forced to server hoppe while searching for a good server,

Crazykage your an idiot, i havent played dayz in a while i am trying to find a good server to play on,I do not serverhoppe in search of gear half of the servers i tryed, either keep crashing, or have nearly 0 loot so i cant even survive has a fresh spawn, i am not a "server Hooper" i just didnt find a decent server to play on when i do I am sure to stop on that server, i dont want to play on a full server because has a fresh spawn that means dying over and over for a can of beans and also it means when I or a friend disconects we cant get in until someone gets out of the server so i been searching for a normal server, without crashes, without me or my friends getting kicked or having high ping, and where there is actually some loots that allow us to play the game. Saying all this, if any of you can sugest some good servers that arent constantly fully Full, but still have a decent population of 20 or so, where i could settle i would be very thankfull ( Public server tough, not private)

So what does the persistance server thing means? So has i understand any server with public and 1/3 person i should be fine even if its not written persistance server on the name? Also, what is with all the servers that are empety but have nearly no loot?

I normally try to go on Persistance only servers, but even then sometimes my character dissapears, but when i go back to the older server i was using the character is still there, is there any surefire way to know wich servers i can safely hop without reseting or having a duplicated character?

I want the vehicles not for the need of traveling faster trough the map on itself, i want the vehicles mostly for the following reasons: - Having vehicles will make people stop camping so much has they will be they will be searching, and fighting over vehicles. - Will make people much more aware of the surroundings, i mean sometimes you can pass trough people and not even notice them, its just normal, but it will be impossible to miss someone coming on a noisy vehicle, i think this will make alot of interesting situations
