Whats the value?

Recommended Posts

So I spawned today and found 2 netting near a boat and then immediately went north.

Question is how valuable is my netting?

Not overly. It's quite plentiful at the moment. Burlap sacks are harder to accumulate.

You are asking how valuable netting is, not its rarity *cough cough.. NexVentor*

Netting is quite valuable, you can make ghillie suits with the stuff! exiting! http://dayz.gamepedia.com/Ghillie_Suit <-- how you make ghillie suits.

But if you meant how *common* netting is, its as common as weapons pretty much. Expect on boats on the coast. For example: usually atleast 1 out of every 4-5 houses you go in will have a weapon, weather it be a baseball bat to a firefighters axe, at the LEAST, out of 5 boats you are guaranteed to find at least one netting, (that is if the boat hasn't yet been checked by another player)

If you are asking because you are contemplating weather or not to toss your netting out and go find some later, then by all means do so. If I didn't have room for netting, I'd track down burlap sack and make a ghillie hat before throwing out the rest of the netting. But it's your choice.

But at the end of the day, you can find netting whenever you go out and intentionally look for some. (which only are found on boats on the coast)

Value is linked directly to rarity  :P

Value is linked directly to rarity  :P

Value: The regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something

Rarity: a thing that is rare, especially one having particular value as a result of this.

In turn, anything that is rare is valuable, because if something is rare, it Always has a value. But nonetheless they are two completely different things, the OP asked for to Value of netting, not the Rarity, even though they have a connection.

I read OP's question as what is the value in me keeping it as opposed to something else eg. Should I drop a m4 to carry netting. If netting is everywhere it's value is minuscule and to drop the m4 would be silly. Netting is absolutely useless by itself, it requires burlap sack to become anything useful which is far harder to accumulate. Netting is relatively easy to find. OP might not even give a shit about a ghillie making the netting even far less valuable. While you are not wrong... you are not right.

Maybe OP should be clearer on what he defines value.
