Server naming

Recommended Posts

I know the forum admins say that they can't do anything about reported server abuse, but can BA do something?  I did a quick search and found 10 public servers with some form of "do not join" or "join=kick" in the name.  Some of them even seem to be setup to auto kick players because I've been kicked immediately upon joining even if no one else is on the server.

I wouldn't mind reporting these to the hosting services, but that doesn't seem to do any good.  I've reported 3 in the past few weeks, and all of them continue to operate with the same name and the admins continue to kick.

Thanks for any advise you can provide.

Unfortunately BA can't do anything. You need to report them directly to their GSP (game service provider).

Need server name, IP including port and reason for reporting. One of the admins on here might provide the email list so you can send it directly to all of the providers.

Edit: found it for you:

Where to to send your server reports:

Multiplay:            [email protected]

Vilayer:               [email protected]

Fragnet:              [email protected] or submit a ticket to their abuse department

GamingDeluxe:  [email protected]

Gameservers:    [email protected]

If you don't know which GSP the offending server is rented from, just send the report to all of them and they'll sort it out themselves.

* Remember to include the IP and port numbers, the server name is not enough*

You find these numbers by highlighting the server in the server browser, then selecting 'Detail' at the lower right. If you can't remember which server you were playing on, you can find it under the 'History' tab.

Not sure who BA refers to but the fact remains...

If you encounter an abusive admin or server, please do not post it here on the forums. We cannot do anything with these reports. It is not productive and does not expedite action taken against these servers. Please report them to the GSPs directly following the pinned Guidelines
