Bandana masks

Hey, is this still a thing? Because I've found a lot of bandanas lately but I cannot untie them and tie them back as masks. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you finding the right ones? So far I've only found pink, camo and green face mask bandanas, the rest are just headwear.

You gotta make sure there the right ones first of all. Its very easy to mistake one for the other. I love the bandanna variety we have been given so far. I would really love them to put in the Neodannas into the game as well.

I've never seen an untied (ie facemask) bandana. Where do they spawn? (DayZDB doesn't seem to want to tell me).

You can do this with regular bandanas,as someone already said there are two kinds. bandanas and bandana caps,the caps can only be worn like a hat. I usually rock the green or black face mask and a cowboy hat or a baklava instead

Bandanna face masks spawn anywhere a hat can spawn but are reasonably rare. Same for balaclavas and bandanna caps.

I think the should let us stack other headwear on bandanas! Like a hat with the bandana be bandana mask! That would be hell awesome and super thug like!

if im not mistaken all Bandana colors can be the Un-tie able face mask kind but they spawn... idk maybe 1/4 as often

There currently is only a few bandanas that can be untied and tied together as a facemask, the bandana caps, however cannot be untied. Because in their name it is called Bandana *Cap*. But the Bandanas  that can be untied include the Green Bandana, the Black Bandana (the one with the white deigns over it), the Purple Bandana (has white polka dots), and the white Bandana (which I haven't found yet and is reasonably rare). But to just keep everything simple, if you run across a bandana OR a bandana cap, just right click it and see if you can untie it. If you can't, then oh well. But if you can untie it and turn it into a facemask then go right ahead! Cheers.
