grass wrap not working

im not sure if the grass wrap is now defunct due to the implementation or the ghillie items but can someone confirm this or tell me why its not going on my mosin?

It is. Burlap wraps were deleted and replaced by burlap strips. You can not craft a grass wrap anymore, and the ones that have been on the players when it was deleted are bugged out now.

I wish they would have left both in. I liked the wraps. The new guillie wraps look like a  big shaggy dog laying on your gun , ya can't even see the weapon.  Not to meantion there is one piece of netting per map. So making it is near impossible. Have both options, Those crazy LiL Elfs..

Absolutely, I liked the basic grass wraps in patch 50, because it was uncommon - I won't use hours

to search for nettings.

Grass wraps were not uncommon at all. I made them left and right whenever I found a burlap sack.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to that particular statistic on wiki pages. Loot tables and item functionality change constantly, so that piece of information is only really going to be useful after everything is finalized. Burlap sacks are not that hard to find right now, especially with wonky persistence behavior.

For example "rare" goes from "can be found relatively easy with a little search" (Drybags) to "people already thought the item was removed" (Ammo Box). This information might be outdated or only take into account particular spawnpoints.

 

I found an Ammo Box by the way - in a residential house.

I almost never find an Ammo box....especially in a residential house. Also, I don't think residential houses have a ammo box spawn....maybe someone dropped it?

Very unlikely - it was a seemingly unlooted town on a nonpersistent server. Strange because the Ammo Box is listed as Crashsite loot - but maybe there is a very small chance for it to spawn in general weapon/ammo spawns.

 

And I really don't think anyone would leave an ammo box is favor of a civilian weapon either.
