Jumping Out Windows.

It would be nice to have an implement to jumping where we can vault/crawl out of broken windows to provide alternate escape routes during stand-offs or zombie fleeing.

I got stuck in a bottom floor apartment building once, there was an open window, so I kept running at it hitting V and eventually jumped through.

I didn't break my legs, and it must of been at least a two meter drop. Gotta love them bugs lol.

I think by "broken" he means all the glass is gone.

Depends how you land. If you do a forwards roll as you're hitting the ground, it will absorb the shock, and you'll be okay.

If you quickly go though glass you won't get cuts too bad.  Also here are your options.

 

1.  Get mauled to death by zombie.

2.  Get a cut.

I really like this, ws on the ground floor of a house and there was a window I could clearly have just vaulted out of to get out if needed. Maybe it could just apply to appropriate windows ie fully broken and ground floor only. For immersion maybe let us do it out of higher broken windows aswell, then bandits can make people jump, suicide option....mistake/learning curve laughs ect. 

 

Imagine walking through Cherno and suddenly see a bambie thrown out of the top window of the hospital, then some crazy bandit leans out the window...looks at you...and says "your next" lol

I tried to suicide to fix a bug by jumping out a window in the Electro Hospital. Didn't work. Even though the window had no glass and went almost to the floor from the ceiling, I still couldn't jump out of it.

Though surprisingly, I discovered by jumping off the hospital roof that if you do a sprint-jump from great height, you'll usually take little to no damage when you hit the ground. The game seems to think that it's still a jump instead of a fall.

I don't mean jumping out of a window as you see in most movies with the full pane still intact, yes, that would most likely cause you to bleed to death within a minute, but a mostly/fully broken window you can hop out of similar to vaulting, or crawl out of and drop to the ground, and obviously height would be something you need to consider.

Assuming you are clothed (and a lot of characters in DayZ seem to be quite overclothed :) ), jumping through window shouldn't do you much harm unless you are really unlucky and/or unhandy

Prove it!

No seriously do not, tempered glass are safer but 99% of regular windows are made with regular glass...

I'm used to buy customized size glass, professional guys cutting it wear protection, and I always see somewhere an emergency first aid & to fill with ice box in case of "limb amputation" (it look like our yellow dayz box :lol: ).

Believe them, it is dangerous.
