Have you ever played dayz drunk or with an altered state of mind?

I did last night and im about to right now.

Well last night i was 6 coronas and 3 shots deep in rum, and decided to play. Got on my geared toon, ran around, looted, then it happened. I saw a guy and in my mind i decided i wasnt going to engage, i was just to drunk for it. Well that worked until he saw me. He proceeded to shoot the shit out of me, nearly missing every shot with an akm, he was jsut spraying like no tommorow, did nothing to me but break my leg, me, ultra drunk, put him down in less than 3 seconds after he began to spray me down unsucessfully. but since i was drunk, of course i forgot to double tap, and he got up and killed me while i was splinting up. GG. And in the end i concluded playing dayz drunk is a great idea.

PS: some people really suck at aiming, i owned a guy that started firing at me with an automatic gun before i had my weapon drawn, and in the end he did kill me, but in the real cqb area, a very drunk man, destroyed him in combat... sad ;(

I have never played DayZ drunk before but I do have a real life story involving alcohol and violence. If you are easily disgusted I'd suggest you stop reading now.

I was once partying with some friends. We were playing a drinking card game (asshole maybe? can't remember exactly). I had already had a few highballs and was fairly inebriated when my friend challenged me to do a double shot of Bacardi 151 with him. That stuff is like jet fuel. I don't remember everything that happened after I took the shot but at some point I had passed out on the couch. My friend was a gym junkie and practiced jujitsu. He thought it would be a good idea to wake me up with some sort of crazy jujitsu kick to the chest. But he was pretty drunk himself so his kick missed my chest and hit me square in the face.

He later told me (I don't remember) that I got off the couch and yelled "Why did you kick me in the face asshole". I do remember being more dizzy than I have ever been before or since then. I felt sick and needed a bathroom. There was one a few feet away but I was drunk and forgot about it so I proceeded to hug the wall and inch my way towards the bathroom at the other end of the house. By the time I got there I'd already forgotten about getting kicked. I remember having my head over the toilet and wondering why all this blood was coming out of my face. I felt no pain but there was copious amounts of blood, tears and vomit coming out of my face. Luckily my girlfriend was there to comfort me. I guess I passed out eventually and slept it off.

The next day I sneezed and a big blob of coagulated blood came out of my nose. For a few months I could press on my face next to my nose and hear this clicking sound and a few of my teeth had this sort of numb sensation like when you get a shot at the dentist. Luckily I never felt any pain from this ordeal and everything looked fine and healed up properly.

Moral of the story is don't be the first to pass out at a party.

Just hopped on my over geared hardcore tune near versenik. Ran up to the southern barracks under a rain of hellfire that ineffectively clanged into the barracks glass. I panicked and fired an entire clip while strafing to the right behind the southern wall.

After reloading and working my way around to the south eastern gate. Got in a nice spot to watch the door from just north of it (I could see along the front of the building but not inside). A survivor soon poked his head out the front door and after a few quick gopher peaks he made a run toward our previous contact (away from my current location). I gave him a few quick bursts in the back and charged after his telltale blood spurts.

Upon crossing the front of the barracks to the other side, I saw a second assailant just behind the camo building. I quickly doubled back, avoiding a hail of gunfire. I reloaded (mistake) and attempted to flank around the back of the barracks. Once I reached the tail end of the building, the second assailant rounded the corner.

I held the trigger down, my heart pounding as i strafed left, doing my best to keep my crosshair on his torso. He fired 1 shot and killed me.

Playing drunk is fun, but can get weeks old characters killed in a matter of seconds.

Oh I thought you meant in game....

A mate and I each drank a bottle of tincture on to of Klem Mountain - we were expecting to get drunk but instead we puked and gave ourselves food poisoning and then spent the next 2 hours running around looking for charcoal tabs lol
