Steyr AUG Stats

~ 5 MOA with no parts (probably shittier than the M4 since I don't know if it has any parts)

Dexterity: 3 (in comparison a CQB M4 is 4)

Yeah, this is kinda mediocre. Especially the part where it somehow turns slower than an upgraded M4.

I guess for this iteration its just the model and everything else got copied from the M4. As for turn speed do not blame the AUG - any AK and most other rifles have dexterity of <3 - its just the CQB M4 that stands out beating almost every other weapon (tied with Derringer). Probably a relic from the time when it had insanely high dispersion.

 

Realistically the AUG should probably turn about as fast as the M4 and be more accurate/have a higher muzzle velocity (as a bullpup) but a slower reload animation and rate of fire.

Because the AUG is a bullpup, it had the shortest overall length of any assault rifle in the game, no? If anything, it should be the supreme assault rifle leader in CQB combat, but recoil more than it's brothers because of its light weight and unique center of balance. I've never fired a bullpup weapon, so I'm pretty much talking out of my ass. Still sounds reasonable though...

Is the gun even in experimental yet?

 

And why do all the good weapons have to be watered down so badly for rarer guns? lol

 

Also can we get a few more straight up AR types? M16, M4 Carbine, AR 10 & 15, Tarvo, Sigsaur, etc. Would be nice if we had some more common ARs to choose from instead of hunting heli crashes for more commonly found guns. I still have yet to find that damn Polish SMG. >.>

Give them server hoppers something else to gear up with. I'm sure they get really bored after the seventeenth AK101 anyway. I'm glad that they'll get some variety in their military grade hardware. 

 

Excellent.

 

I was almost getting tired of seeing bands of M4 and AK toting camouflaged KOSers. Now I can get gunned down in some quality Austrian craftsmanship.

Calling the gun mediocre and even complaining about the gun before it's even added....

Nothing is final about any of those stats.

Just like the initial stats of the m4 and other weapons changes do will these.

Stats look find for now though

Used it yet?  Is it even in the game yet?  Isn't this game in alpha?  You some kind of AUG fanatic?  What is your angle here?

Here are its stats...

Real life stats would be better than stats from a random game - if you privide ingame stats then provide the ones from DayZ SA as the OP did.

Now I hope weapon stats will change quite a lot in upcoming iterations, adding more diversity in weight/sway, recoil, rate of fire, muzzle velocity (thats basically the advantage of bullpups over carbines) and moving away from the dispersion changing non-muzzle attachments (as well as giving fixed "attachments" comparable benefits). Giving the guns more authentic upsides and downsides could be done with it. Balance - should be done by rarity. Give us the weapon as close as possible to its real life counterpart but make it rare if it ends up being extremely powerful (also fix server hopping).

Yeah I imagine good old Gov. Snyder wouldn't like us to have them. If it isn't the AR 15 or a similar platform they get a bit butthurt. They werent too pleased when I wanted to register my AN94. Dude looked at me kinda funny became I had an unamerican gun
