Slower More Dense Zombies

I've been playing DayZ for over a year now but only recently started playing with friends. My friends and I agree that the REAL threat in this game are not the zombies but actually other players that are strangers to us. Looting is fun, but sometimes you feel like you've got all you need. So then what? Kill a zombie here and there or go hunt other players?

 

I think it would be beneficial to the game if hordes of zombies were added. My thought is that on a regular server, these hordes of zombies would be a little slower in movement, but would arrive in groups. Their attacks would be just as deadly because they would inflict the same amount of damage as a fast zombie, but with the difference only being their movement and likelihood to move in numbers. We have fast zombies now, but why can't we have both?

Zombies will be improved once the servers/engine are. Can mods please put this in the sticky?

Slow zombies wouldn't really be...menacing. They certainly wouldn't be dangerous. You would just walk away from them.

This, the infected should basically be people hopped up on bath salts. They should have color in their body and exhibit weird behavior. Like maybe they won't attack you right away if you don't make sudden movements or get to close.

But i also like the zombie aspects because I want hordes...

I'm not asking to change the behavior of all the zombies. I'm saying add a secondary characteristic trait that is only associated with zombies in large numbers. Could you imagine (often) being chased by 10 or more zombies at once?

Hordes are a planned implementation. Rn I feel like the devs wanna push vehicles. A friend of mine on an RP server I play posted a few leaked photos, one of which appeared to be a fully functional V53 (or whatever) truck!
