New Form of Handcuffs

Recommended Posts

So I Was Wondering...

In DayZ standalone, when you want to make sure a bambi, or even a fairly geared survivor doesn't hit you in the back of the head with a storage hammer, you would restrain them, but what if you don't have handcuffs? or you do but no keys? ...

THE ANSWER IS...

ROPE!!!

We should be able to restrain others with rope, and that rope should be able to be cut by the hostage (or the bandit) with a sharp object like a knife, and if you escaped your mugger, it should be fairly easy to break out of the rope..

Fortunately....

This wouldn't be that difficult to add in the game, since its just a different "copy" of handcuffs with a different "picture to it" (rope instead of handcuffs)

Any ways, if ropes could be used as restraints in DayZ, there would be TONS more of realistic situations that a survivor might have to experience. whether that player is the one putting on the handcuffs  or escaping from them...

When the Dev team sees this, this is for you: I hope you take this into consideration, for the sake of realism, and for new experiences.

i did read about them adding the ability to use rope, wire and duct tape i can't seem to locate the article though sry i'm sure someone might oblige us. just give it time atleast for me when i think to myself they should add this or do this next thing you know its in game for the most part so if your thinkin it then they will probably make it and your suggestion is reasonable and realist/authentic.

If I had chicken wire, I'd break off a piece a couple inches long and keep it in my glove as a shim for handcuff moments.  I keep a razor blade in my shoe for similar reasons.
