I noticed they even turn their heads to look at potential enemies. I encountered a goat being chased by a zombie and the goat switched between looking (180 degree turn btw) at the zombie following it to me (also 180 degrees turn) constantly in quick succession, while still running forward.

 

Very weird, and a tad satanic, experience.

The goats in 0.50 are just weird. Period. They were skittish and predictable before, but now they don't seem to care if you're like two feet away from them. I also tried hitting one with a sledgehammer when I was desperate for meat, but it didn't work... it was like I was swinging at air  :huh:

Why would they be afraid ? Satan himself watches over them. Didn't you know that goats are his favourite pets.
