Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted October 27, 2014 Gameplay statistics Does that mean something similar to the Bandit / Hero system of the mod?Zeds killed / Bandits killed / Murders? One can dream mate. I miss my debug all the time.
lrp1984 199 Posted October 27, 2014 Jumped on experimental last night, ran through one small town and my shoes were ruined and my feet started to hurt!! Found a pair of hiking boots (worn) and by the time I got to the next town they were ruined as well. I think the wear on the shoes needs to be toned down a bit... Yeah, that is a little too much. I can understand having them wear out, but it needs to be a little more realistic.
jessebilyk 32 Posted October 27, 2014 Maybe they were made in china? Dunno how they came up with a system like that. I got a pair of boots that are like 8 years old!

I got a pair of boots that are like 8 years old!In my opinion they set them to break very often to see the "my feet is sore" mechanic and if it works for everyone , basically a stress test.. My guess is that before the stable update well see maybe another experimental with more negative effects of feet being sore but with tweaked values of how Long they last for (hopefully).

Schweinsteiger 107 Posted October 27, 2014 Everything sounds great ("sounds" being the optimal word here) but when in the hell are we going to see something new? Is the update coming soon (this Wednesday morning)? I know you guys are working hard but the game is getting a bit boring at the moment. I want that pump shotgun and a truck to roam around in. I want base building and tents, etc. It's awesome that you guys are throwing out these status reports but we all want to see these things implemented as soon as possible. H1Z1 will probably be released in the next month or two and when that happens there's going to be a mass exodus from DayZ to H1Z1 (albeit temporarily...you hope). You got the cash now give us the product (yeah, yeah, yeah, it's Alpha!).

I would absolutely love trying to fix a truck to roam around and do raids in. I am a DayZ fan boy, I personally will not be converting; I'm sure others feel the same way. Great things take time... Unfortunately Exp was a disaster last time I tried it. Literally no loot besides some camp stoves and chem lights. It was really disappointing. I love DayZ I'm just a bit frustrated at having to wait so long for the game to develop to where it doesn't get boring very fast. You're right though, it does take time. H1Z1 looks awesome and we can use the spray paint cans to tag anything! We can take over a neighborhood and tag it (My gang will get you!). They have vehicles in the game already, zombie hoards, nice weapons, sweet graphics, good lighting, etc. Can't wait for H1Z1 Early Access!!!
Zboub le météor 250 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) H1Z1 is not in competition with dayZ for me. objectives are not really the same. H1Z1 is way more arcade, you'll move faster, less sway, no bullet drop... a beautifull little name above your head to identify who you are. more cartoonish graphics, less vegetation, WAY less survival features and probably an all around PVE experience way more easy than dayZ. on the other hand, H1Z1 will probably perform way better on optimisation and server side, the map will be larger, with more players. huge malls are in, probably a lot more zombies than in dayZ. construction will be bigger and easy to set up. there is a lot of "may be" in my comment, but i think i got the feeling of both games. i'll pick Dayz anyday !!! ps : you'll love the MP 133, totally kick ass shotgun. just wait till wednesday Edited October 27, 2014 by Zboub le météor
a_ruttle 199 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) That image in the OP was used waaayyyyyyy back on one of the first devblog posts on the forum, the soda at the bottom 'zluta' something, I've never seen one of those before. Nevermind, I never noticed when they removed them is all. Edited October 27, 2014 by a_ruttle

Other then that it is the same as DayZ. And I wouldn't call the shooting mechanics in DayZ anything other then arcade. I'm sure there will be bullet drop in H1Z1. Moving is the same, in fact in DayZ you run seriously fast, not exactly realistic. DayZ isn't exactly hard by any means so I don't know what you're talking about there. You can find food every three feet in DayZ. I think this whole "fan-boy" thing is just lame. What would you rather have, a single game or two quality games to play? Yeah, looking forward to the MP133. Wednesday you say? I hope so man, I really do. Edited October 27, 2014 by Schweinsteiger

Yeah I'm hoping this is just for testing. The current mechanics/variables are terrible. My shitty walmart shoes don't explode after walking 10KM... So military hiking boots shouldn't after 2KM.I'm all for immersion and realism, but at the current stage, it's anything but.
xXAC1DBURNXx 1 Posted October 29, 2014 Very excited about this next update, keep up the good work guys! I think by statics he means like in GTA where you can see how many people you killed, vehicle blown up, and times you went to jail and such. As for the shoes yeah they need to be toned down a bit if they have no plans of changing how quick they wear, as a pristine pair of boots should allow you to run full circle around the map til they need replacing at the least.
