saamohod 45 Posted October 15, 2014 I've got two DayZ maps in my bookmarks: http://dayzdb.com/map and http://www.dayztv.com/standalone/dayz-chernarus-plus-map/ Are they completely identical? (i doubt that)Which one is more correct?Which one do you use?
HeXedMinD (DayZ) 39 Posted October 15, 2014 I use http://izurvive.com/ and set it as my steam browser homepage. Also has a few nice features like sharing icon with your group and distance checking.
Red_Ensign 990 Posted October 15, 2014 call me crazy but my character picks up a map and uses that one. having all the LOOT mapped out for me seems pretty cheesy.
svisketyggeren 662 Posted October 15, 2014 Not sure if using a map slows down the process of learning the landscape or not. I feel it does cos ur not really observing the landscape as much when ur using a map...its just finding the general direction and go there. Stop using the map and start observing the landscape... Baker. 1484 Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) call me crazyYou're crazy I've got two DayZ maps in my bookmarks: http://dayzdb.com/map and http://www.dayztv.com/standalone/dayz-chernarus-plus-map/Are they completely identical? (i doubt that)Which one is more correct?Which one do you use?I use my mind. I would imagine as the devs update and change the map both of them will vary in their accuracy. Might be best to keep both handy. Edited October 15, 2014 by Bakermensch

It doesn't. I used maps at first but once I've been to an area once or twice I know my way around from memory. These days I just use my map for when I am in an area I've never been to before or to measure distance.
