When are smoke grenades gonna be implemented?|

I was playing arma 3 campaign the other day and i was doing a solo mission in the woods and a 2 person squad attacked me. it was really stressful but i popped a smoke grenade, flanked them and completely destroyed them. it was so awesome. never thought of doing that in dayz. smoke grenades is where it's at!

They mentioned them recently in a devlog, given recent track records it could be in the next 'major' experimental update or it could be a month or two.

With how poorly this current engine can handle simple physics, I'd be surprised it can handle smoke without killing FPS.

 

ArmA 3 fun fact, if you spam enough smoke grenades at a player, it will drop his FPS considerably, even if he had a good rig.

I always made sure to carry some smoke grenades in the mod, probably one of the most useful items.  Can't wait till they're finally implemented.

agreed they are a extremely useful tool marking your spot for heli pickup or getting zeds off of you or my personal favorite throwing one in a building that has a camper in it sending zeds to eat his face.

I used them as a distraction to get away from a risky situation if I was getting fired at by another human player.
