sinkatze 52 Posted October 9, 2014 No, this is not another Gore suggestion, body parts flying off or such. What I mean by visual injury is simply blood splatter where you hit are shot someone. Say if you shoot someone in the stomach you would see a big red splatter where the bullet was hit and if he is bleeding you will see the blood fountain coming out of it. This would be great to see where people have been shot (just for immersion) and maybe can wash it off or something. This is not a game breaking change as is mostly for immersion and/or fun. And the reason I am suggesting this is only because its suposed to be something simple to do as this has already been in ArmA since Operation Flashpoint as you can see in the pictures below.Face shots. agentstaple 29 Posted October 9, 2014 Yeah a few people where talking about this in a thread the other day. A few people said you should have to treat injuries as well. I think you should be able to view injured body parts the same way you view items and check on their status (It seems clean, Its going gangrene, it's starting to reek, I think there is a bullet fragment in the wound etc.) You would have to treat different injuries and conditions with different tools and resources (bandages, alcohol, morphine, painkillers, etc.) Though even if they added it as a visual feature I'd be happy :)

I'm sure they are going to get into more detail and hopefully as the one you described. My suggestion was more simple as a thing they could probably implement pretty easily. If your ok with very old graphics you can see the effect I was mentioning from this OPF video:Watch at 2:09 and 2:

DocWolf 146 Posted October 9, 2014 Sounds good - and maybe let some of the first aid items your character use be visible for a short time. Bandaged arms, splinted legs and so on.
BeefBacon 1185 Posted October 9, 2014 Arma uses a system whereby the texture of a damaged bodypart is changed to a bloody one. I'd rather see actual decals, so wounds appear where the wound would appear, rather than just a new texture cropping up. Blood decals on clothes could spread out so it looks like blood is soaking through the clothes. That'd be neat.
liquidcactus 719 Posted October 9, 2014 Most of us have thought of this at least once.. I'm confident we will get more cosmetic injury status in the future
