How doors/gates should work

How about we use the scroll menu ("F"-key) just to open the lock or door handle and use the players body to push the door open or close it?

 

That way it prevents the player from being pushed away while the door animation is running.

 

yay or nay?

I think this would be a cool idea but I feel that it would only make the game more clunkier in its current state. I think that character movement/hitbox needs to be smoothed out before something like this was implemented but this would be cool to see in the future!

I do not want to spoler alert but there is a mod for A3 in progress that currently has this for door breaching/interaction and its beautiful.

Hello there

 

Im a fan of having two option to open. One a scroll incremental open and a normal, open and close 100pc setting.

 

Id love to be able to peek through a slightly open door with my shotgun (enormous weapon) ready.

 

Much like I do from inside Steaks cupboard while he sleeps.

 

Im not a fan of the antiquated menu system we have inherited from OFP.

other than the incidents involving you Opening and Walking uncontrollably into an armed Person and No longer being able to Open a Door from Safety of the frame Beside it

Just Clearing that its safe is a Must rather than Walking in as you open a Door on for instance Barracks/Jailhouses/PoliceStations

Like the Idea But Perhaps a Few Anims  for Different Situations of approach?

seen from the gameplay-side, it is a disadvantage if you have to move through the door to open it in case there is a camper behind it. i like the option like it is at the moment, not 100% realistic when its opened to the other side, but fair for players on both sides.
