Leg Glitch Death

Apparently its still a thing....

 

Anyone seen any information on weather or not its going to get fixed? 

 

What causes it? 

 

What buildings in particular does it happen the most?

 

I recently died twice back to back characters in the ATC tower at NWAF from it.

Fire stations and ATCs for me, however I have broke my leg running into a shed once, level ground as well.

Last time I randomly broke a leg was in .46 or something. Am I just lucky then?

My friend had died to this 3 times and I broke my legs and almost died to it too. There appears to be no pattern to where and when it happens. :T

If you are in a server and you notice lagspikes, more desync than usual or a bad ping, stay away from everything except ground level. The bug is caused by the server thinking you're in another position than your client does, and will simply "drop" you out of the air server-side, which breaks your legs or kills you eventually.

 

Never happened to me again since i have an eye on this ( mostly play on servers with ping <50. Also, teleporting zombies are a good indicator that you should stay on the ground ).

Fire-stations, act, and police stations. Fire-stations are the worst.

 

Have only run into it once in the last few days, at the new city north of northwest airfield fire-station. Almost broke my legs.

This appears to only ever happen to me when sprinting into a building or sprinting right up to the base of stairs, which is exceptionally rare for me.

I think it really depends on your internet connection and latency.

Normally I play on servers with 50ms ping or less.

And I never broke my legs in any building.

Ok, once I was dead. But that was because I inadvertently pressed the wrong key on the roof of the police station that I was lying on. ;)

same here. As soon as 49 update came out, I went to Balota and after getting a decent gear died in ATC third floor (with glass windows). I was simply crouching for a second. Many my friend died like that too. In ATC.

If it was that small shed with like window, that's where I died as well.  My leg feels painful and BOOM I'm dead, just as I ran inside.

as someone mentioned.

firestation towers. dont touch the wall with the shelves on it. (not the lockers, the shelves)

also dont stop moving on those same floors.

atc tower. aswell. same shelves and lockers.

 

note,

 

if you hear the hit. your leg is dmg'd then again. your leg is broken. then again you are dead.

 

the game act's as if you have fallen through the floor to your death.

note your gear is always ruined. your pants (common with falling death)

 

tip. 

 

dont stop moving when on those floors.

if you hear yourself taking dmg. if you stop moving your leg will break

if you stay still even further, you will die.

 

key. DONT STOP MOVING when this happens.

I disagree. I'm pretty much always on servers with <50ms ping, and this has happened to me in ATC, in military jails, fire station towers, in construction sites and in red roof barns. I never get the leg broken message though - I just die immediately.

 

The only building I'll go upstairs in now is the generic office building, which has yet to kill me (but it's probably only a matter of time).
