Found a tent in .49

We...well actually Jas finally found a tent, on DayZ SA .49 version, we weren't sure if persistence was active on this server yet, so here are a few answers to questions about packing and loading the tent and a bit more. Yes they are out there

this is the only question I have: Did you actually find servers that save the tents? I've found lots of servers with "persistence on" in their name and it was just fake and the tent wasn't there after restart. One time I actually set the tent before with restart with 10 minutes, and it was gone after restart. Which proves that it didn't get stolen or anything, it's just most of these servers are fake.

Can you actually give me a list of servers with "persistence on" that aren't fake? It's so annoying to join a server that claims to have persistence and then lose your tent after restart :(

From what I've seen of 0.49 so far, neither persistence nor loot respawn appears to be working - it's just server resets that repopulate the loot. This is just an observation on my part, but that's what my impression has been based on my experience.

I have found only one server with actual persistence working, but it is very laggy. If the server you were on wasn't getting slow fps, it probably isn't true persistent.

I believe this is due to server crashes. Whether the server is persistent doesn't matter when it crashes it effectively acts as a restart.

Don't you know the new feature on the loading screen, it shows what the server really has enabled, it can't be altered by admins, so if there is no persistence in that features list (on top of loading screen) then the server does not have persistence. It is because of false naming like most servers do, that this feature got implemented.

Apartment buildings have them. One of our trade guild found one and I have heard others finding them there. They are really rare though. I went through apartments for hours the other night and never found a single one.

Isn't it really easy to check if a server has persistence?

Step 1: play on server

Step 2: server restarts

Step 3: rejoin server and check if the same loot is still on the same as it was before the server restarted

Step 4: Celebrate! You've found a persistent server!

I've found a few persistent servers that have all worked fine. Also some of them have had no indication on the loading screen that they are persistent, like my group recently got a server and contacted the provider to enable persistence. Persistence works fine, but it's not labeled as persistent anywhere.

I'm having the same problem. I've searched like 15 different highrise apartments, probably about 30-40 times top to bottom all together. On persistent servers, on non persistent servers, on non persistent servers that just restarted, etc. and.... Nothing, not a single tent. And then I hear about these people finding 3 or 4 tents in one check. :(

I'm curious if maybe tents only appear in specific rooms with specific layouts ( are highrise apartment layouts all the same or are they different for each building?) so maybe certain specific apartment buildings are more likely to spawn a tent... Or if all apartments are exactly the same, at least it would help me search the apartments faster knowing that I can ignore certain rooms, or focus specifically on certain rooms.
