*BUG* Has anyone else experienced this? Player spawns naked and character fails to carry over to most servers.

My character spawned naked and my character does not save/carry over to other servers (at least VERY few), even if they have the same options enabled (1st person, persistence....) Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a solution? Do the devs/other people know about or is it just me? Is there something I can do to fix it? Reinstall, new character, etc... Thanks.  :beans:

Yes this happens when you attempt to connect to a server that is not fully rebooted after a crash/restart. It wipes your character and you spawn in vibor, a debug developer spawn. Should you wish to spawn correctly kill yourself by jumping off the bridge, your next character should be fine.

 

I make a rule of not joining a server that has just restarted with a time of for example 15:00, instead wait until it says 15:01 at least before attempting to join.

When you find a server like this it'll give you 30 or 60 seconds to back out of the server before you spawn. If you do this and wait a bit or move to a different server you will retain your current character. :)

So by joining the server and exiting back to the main menu before I spawn in, and then joining a new server, my character should carry over to that server?

Yes it works. Sometimes every server seems to be doing it. When this happens I restart my game and try again. I don't think it does anything apart from allow more time for the servers to sort themselves out but it seems to work and that's what I've been doing. I've had a lot of servers try and reset me and I still have the same character. :D

To spawn in Vybor also happens without connecting to a not fully rebooted server. After I was killed yesterday (no server reboot) I wanted to start new. I clicked, the 30 sec. timer counted down... message: You are dead. Didn't even spawn. Next try the same. Leave game and start the game new. I spawned naked at Vyobr (and died because Vybor had not a single piece of clothing left :D ). But had really nothing to do with server reboot. :-/

Had the same issue. Got killed, respawn...not working. Disconnected, went onto the same server (did not reboot), "Please wait..." took forever. Spawned in Vybor after I finally got in. However, apart from that, the Character seems alright. I equipped myself and the character now carries to other servers without any issues.

lol, I thought it was a feature.

I said wow, hardcore, spawning in underware under the bridge in the water at vibor. Character is still alive anyway
