Increase name size

Ok , this isnt going to effect much people but it does me , devs read all of this theres two ideas need addressing

 

my name is friendlypilot  , i have a problem , you see my name is 13 letters long so  [???]friendlypilot will not fit ,  pretty upset :(

 

can the devs please please just let us have 18 letters as i really want my name and a clan tag

 

or implement a clan tag system

 

also names that are used already shouldnt be able to be used again by someone else

No - people have the same names in real life as well - no need to limit them or putting resources into assuring this. Its not a ladder or competitive game where this is used to track your progress.

 

We don't need "Sorry but this name is already taken!" - even less with the current implementation where you can change names freely. I have no problem with a fixed name for each survivor or even player but requiring uniqueness is completely unnecessary.

 

Yes to longer names but a definite no to that stupid one Steve limit.

I wouldnt mind having a longer name space available.

Hopefully its easy to change and doesnt require much work, but if it does its not worth it imho.

 

As far as going with the same name, it doesnt matter.

This is DayZ, people will try to trick you and fool you. Having a "fake ID" is a part of this, if one chooses to do so :)
