unit1stealth 5 Posted October 6, 2014 I like using the longhorn strictly for animal hunting, and the occasional distant threat - in which I have enough time to switch weapons if I were to use the longhorn on a player. But I usually don't. Can't guarantee me a kill with the longhorn - so I don't take the risk. Mosin against players works well.
Grundlesmuggler 41 Posted October 7, 2014 Given that they take the same ammo, and that you really don't need to carry anything in your backpack you can have both. But I agree with the earlier poster, the shotgun seems a bit bugged atm. Once that's fixed a sawed off is your best close range option up to 50m. Then you can keep the longhorn for the longer shots in town. 1 shot isn't bad. It's urban warfare so you should be shooting then moving/reloading to a new spot. If you are camping a spot to snipe, then you should be using an actual mosin. So until the shotgun is up to snuff, carry both and drop useless items from your bag like food/drink, more than 2 bandages etc. Use the mosin for CQB.
