Mangina 6 Posted September 11, 2014 it would be much more realistic say if you got something like a machete or a katana and you could cut off limbs of zombies or players. with anything super sharp. and the only way to get your limb working again would be to either get your limb after its taken off and sew it back on after cleaning it with alcohol and having to lay down for say 30 minutes or have one less limb having the need for wheelchairs or not being able to use weapons correctly. as in hip fire rather than aimed fire. the use for crutches as your team mate protects your back. good for role play. i can see some people wanting just to respawn. but this will add to the realism. being able to slice off arms or shoot at limbs so that they become disabled. like being shot in the leg stops you from running. or shot in the arm allows you only to do hip fire. as for zombies being able to slice them in half and see their hands pulling there top torso along still trying to get you. ☣BioHaze☣ 7337 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Hi! Welcome to DayZ forum! I see you have made 3 (*Edit: looks like 4 actually) threads regarding subjects that have already been discussed and have multiple threads over the past 2 years since DayZ's inception. Please use the search function and contribute ideas to existing threads already in place. Only when you are certain your subject/suggestion is brand new should you then consider starting a new thread. Thanks! rybec 339 Posted September 11, 2014 Impossible to do with the RV Engine as of now. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1Why would we ever want a game to be built from scratch on an engine that doesn't allow anything and everything? Also if there was a visual change to a body, rather than decapitations I'd still like entry/exit wounds on a body.

☣BioHaze☣ 7337 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) I searched the top level of the forum and found a lot regarding this subject. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/184811-proper-evisceration-decapitation-would-be-nice/?hl=decapitation I'm for more gore personally but a less cluttered forum would be nice as well. grihmmys@gmail.com 23 Posted September 11, 2014 It´s bad enough that bullet wounds just magically heals with a piece of ripped cloth, but decapitation? If you cut a limb off, then you have to add a working nervsystem, muscular system, veins etc etc because if a leg is cut off, you cannot just sew it back on and it will heal.Nerves, muscles, veins, bloodflow and pressure, infection and sepsis and not to mention the medications needed, sterilasation and more. I would rather see an option if any for player A to pick a certain way to do harm to a player so that player B cannot run again for 24 hours or will be shaky when using scope or things like that. CJFlint 357 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) I'm sort of mixed on an idea like this. Serously if you had your arm choped off by a bandit, and managed to some how escape, would not just kill your self so you could respawn? And why so sadistic? I'm guilty of what some may consider a KOSer. I think of it more as not taking chances. But I'm not sadistic, not into torture. Its alittle bazare to me sometimes, that there people who play that are into this sort of thing in DayZ. Whats Fed is is it makes tactical minded people like me even more likely to "KOS". Your not capturing me and pulling that weird shit, ya sickly prick ya lol Some players I sware get a weird power trip doing this sort of thing. I'm serous we have all seen the players who are into capturing people and feeding the rotten fruit til they keel over. Even making them fight each other. Me I play as a sportmen. On the flip side it would add realism and a since of horror to the game. Also I'm pro game play freedom. I think player should be able to play anyway they want, even as a complete sadistic weirdo.....to an extent. ITS A GAME! So I would say add it in the sake of game play freedom. BUT you sadistic fuckers should be ashamed of your selves! You sickly sick fucks! Edited September 11, 2014 by CJFlint
