Does game support alt tab in Win 8.1?

Recommended Posts

I just switched over to Windows 8.1 from Windows 7 and I'm finding that when I alt tab out, I can't get back into the game. It'll just flash on my screen for a second, but then remain minimized until I close it. Does this happen to anyone else?

Not suffering this at all win8.1 pro. Havent had any trouble at all to be honest with win8.1 except having to enable a different sound option to hear sound in the original bioshock (hey i am trying to do a re play through of all three bioshocks)

I do not know about Windows 8.1, because my HDD with it had some problems and I unplugged it before it totally crashes, but my brother-in-law had the same problem last evening. He uses Windows 7 Ultimate and his problem has been solved when he deactivated MSI Afterburner. I do not know if that helps, but look for other programs that also use the directx interface and could conflict with the game.

works fine, if alt tab doesn't work you can click on the lil shortcut that is pinned to the taskbar, that takes you back as well.

I can alt+tab in most situations but sometimes the game doesn't seem to want me to - mostly during loading periods (game start etc.). It can cause your controls to haywire though, punching and shooting around.

I don't know if it's just a personal habit from older windows days, but I never alt+tab out of a game when it initializes or during loading screens.

Alt-tabbing works fine on Win8.1, just make sure you don't have -winxp in launch parameters.
